North Korea message to Obama
South Korea is on point
Listen up, is what North Korea seems to be saying to President Obama since Obama ignored the revelations about centrifuges producing uranium for weapons.
Using a military attack against a populated South Korean island is inappropriate. After several Presidents have failed to respond, maybe Obama needs to toughen up American reaction. First, stand strongly behind South Korea as they are on point.
“Twin Aims of Yeonpyeong Island Assault
By Kim Yong Hun
Experts on North Korea have painted this afternoon’s North Korean attack on Yeonpyeong Island as a drastic attempt to generate dialogue with the U.S.
President of the Sejong Institute Song Dae Sung told The Daily NK in a phone interview, “North Korea’s extreme action can be seen as a threat by which to generate dialogue with President Obama,” and added, “Even though they displayed centrifuges through which they could produce uranium weapons, there was no change in the U.S. attitude, so they carried out the attack on us.”
Kim Yeon Su, a professor with Korean National Defense University, explained, “Even though the uranium enrichment program was shown off recently, an atmosphere for dialogue was not created, so this is to get through the current situation by generating a crisis on the Korean Peninsula.”
Cho Myung Cheol, a researcher with Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, interpreted, “North Korea committed this provocation in order to strengthen internal solidarity for the stability of the succession system and particularly to show off internationally that there are no problems in the succession.”
On the succession system, Professor Kim agreed, saying, “Since there have been criticisms of the succession system and public opinion has become unstable in the process of the establishment of the Kim Jong Eun succession, the North attacked the South in order to cover for its internal instability.”
Meanwhile, another analysis has it that North Korea wants to lead the South towards an appeasement policy by raising inter-Korean and military conflict.
An anonymous expert on diplomacy and security said, “It was to report that the Lee Myung Bak administration’s policy on North Korea has failed by sending a warning to the South, ‘It is up to South Korea’ to choose either war or peace.””

Do you want US empire to enegage militarily in one more region?North Korea,as an independent and sovereign state has every right to go nuclear. The probelem is not North Korea, the real problem is puppet regime in South Korea.Puppets are constant source of worry because of presence of the malevolent empire in the Southern part of the country.North Korea should not abandon its nuclear plan.
at 07:01 on November 23rd, 2010
I disagree completely. North Korea was established as a puppet dictatorship by China. It is a Chinese puppet and is opposed to democracy and individual freedom. They are my enemies. South Korea is an ally and we fought together to preserve their bastion of freedom there.
Look at the economies. Compare. Freedom succeeds.
The right of nations to pursue the development of nuclear energey for peaceful purposes should be preserved under supervision by international authorities. The trouble is, North Korea, like Iran, is not cooperative and is hostile to free nations.
at 07:07 on November 23rd, 2010
In addition, the North initiated hostile action.
Fighting to preserve South Koreas freedom is far more appropriate than invading the Middle East where there isn't a ghost of chance of influencing culture there for a long time. Yes, influencing people to gain individual freedom, liberty, and through democracy is a noble purpose without strings attached.

I believe things are more serious than the Corporate Mefia is portraying.
North Korea desires and is prepared for a full scale war and the invasion of the South. The North is only waiting for a legal entry to commence it's plan of unification.
You can expect things to become much more ugly in the coming weeks.
If full scale war does become a reality, you can expect the price of laptops and flat screen to go through the roof and the American economy down the drain.

War in Korea would be terrible, no doubt. So terrible in fact that China will not let it happen for the very reason you site and more -- they need the trade machine to keep going.
at 07:39 on November 23rd, 2010
Don't know where all the complexities lie in this N. Korea situation. How exactly China and Russia equate with that balance. But I personally would not hesitate placing an immediate condition on N. Korea, and informing China and Russia that if N. Korea takes anymore military action that in anyway destabilizes that region or threatens any U.S. Ally. That we will but your boot right up there ass.

"That we will put our boot right up their ass"..
Sorry about that typo Jim! lol

@ YJ.Even if we accept for the sake of argument that North Korean regime was set up by Chinese, now the most favoured trading partner of US empire, suggesting that if it comes to matters of trade individual freedom and democracy are meaningless words, and is opposed to democracy and individual freedom, what about other regimes which were not set up by Chinese and are,in equal measures, opposed to democracy and individual freedom? The crux of the argument is that US has right, divine right,to support undemocratic regimes ,where human rights are voilated like traffic rules in India, voices of opposition are throttled and oppressive regimes are guaranteed economic and military aid, there is not a murmur about it.But the regime set up by China has no right to exist.US empire can not brook murder of democracy and individual freedom, exceptions are those regimes which are sub-ordinate allies of the empire.Subordination to the empire is tantamount to democracy and individual freedom.

North and South Korea exchange artillery fire, two killed.
The incident occurred after a South Korean artillery unit fired test shots near the North Korean coast, though South korean officials insisted that shots did not cross sea border between the two countries.-Top Story,Foreign Policy, dated 23 November,2010.
The shots fired by South Korean puppet regime were in fact instructions of the master to provoke North,so that gutter Western and American media could launch propaganda against North Korea.

The contradictions and compromises are so numerous that it is hard to keep track. I have gone onto a rant recently because I want to reinforce my allegiance to the cause of freedom. In the long run, when people taste freedom through trade, travel, and increasingly open communications, the vast peoples of the world will likely pursue freedom.
But as North Korea is an example, a dictator with the backing of a powerful regime can keep people under their thumbs for a long time. The system will begin to fall apart when the appointed leader dies. Even though he has set up his son as heir, there is no certainty that China will go along or that the people and military will go along. Change can be for the better.

S.Korea. A successful liberal democratic, industrious with a high standard of living vs. N. Korea. A totalitarian regime that abuses the population and keeps them in perpetual poverty. Yep. S Korea is the problem.

I try to keep an open mind in international conversations, but sometimes the biases are so strong that they speak for themselves. One guy is from Honduras, the second most impoverished state in South America who constantly rails against the USA. Then, there is TKK, who I think is strong intellectually and makes excellent points, but slips under the train by thinking the the USA is actually controlled by some secret society like the Bilderbergs. No, we're a nation of averaging and we are subject to corruption too.
at 17:02 on November 23rd, 2010
YJ.Not only America, but the entire leadership of other countries is controlled by the same invisible hand, may be oligarchs, international Mafia dons, secret societies,Zionist conspirators or luciferian forces, represented by political and religious leadership everywhere.
There are people who honestly and sincerely expose these sinister forces who control our destiny by controlling our minds, influence our thoughts and opinions, turning us all into a cog of a machine which grinds power and money for these evil forces, are dubbed as conspiracy theorists.
at 19:26 on November 23rd, 2010
I find this a somewhat interesting concept t k kidwai ( global 'invisible hand' ). Do you have any theories as to how this global or world group could be organized ? I've always found that besides the religious differences that have caused so many problems in the world, that cultural ( and ethnic ) problems would also create enormous problems for any possible group like that to function. Only two types of entities could overcome these barriers. Aliens or Vampires. 1
at 05:46 on November 25th, 2010
Chaos is the visible symptom of the invisible hand.
at 04:05 on November 24th, 2010
No doubt, sinister forces are at play in the world. Do you believe that China had no role in North Korea's actions against the South, for instance?
at 05:05 on November 24th, 2010
No YankeeJim you are wrong, everything China does is completely flawless, havent you been paying attention to kidwai? Only Americans are capable of doing bad things. On the off chance that it appears somebody else is doing something wrong it is an American trick, probably an American in a mask or something. If you don't agree with this you are a racist and I will post you lots of references from a completely different event until you lose interest in arguing.
at 19:38 on November 23rd, 2010
tk kidwai often does this, as his arguments crumbl;e around him he retreats further into the maze of the ludicrous inventing phantom groups and mysterious entities so that he can cling desperately to the belief that the USA is the source of every single problem in the world.
According to him its quite ok to totally repress your population in misery but responding to a military attack is a complete outrage, I can see you really put some thought into that one kidwai : )
at 20:24 on November 23rd, 2010
@FaithlessTemplar.I never said that US is the sole single problem of the world. The invisible hand is neither my invention, nor concoction.Would you please explain to me what is"New World Order",a phrase Geoge Bush sr.,used frequently in his speeches.
What is disgusting is double standards of US empire. On one hand,US supported the most brutal dictators of their times, overthrew elected governments;and,on the other, attacked Iraq,Afghanistan to sow seeds of democracy. Is it not a fact, part of recorded history?
FT,you are hell bent on ridiculing me,I know that but I don't mind.If you want to know about invisible hand, please do read "Enroute to Global Occupation" by Gary Kah.Contest what he has written, qouted sources he has had access to.Following the footsteps of status quoists, you can rubbish him and dubb him as conspiracy theorist and ridicule me once again.
@The 1(not verified)Have you heard of Illuminati,Free Massonary,Club of Rome,Bilderberg Group etc.?Theories, facts one is supposed to cull by putting in required labour and inclination.Global hegemony, control of energy resources by US empire is not my theory. It is American scholars, intellectuals, historians and academics who have extensively written on this subject, and are writing till date.In my opinion they all are respected men, for, they are pacifists, honest and not propagandists. They provide food for thought,do not lecture on human propensity to make as much profits as one can make.

You state:
"@The 1(not verified)Have you heard of Illuminati,Free Massonary,Club of Rome,Bilderberg Group etc.?"
Yes, I am familiar with each of these groups. Too my understanding though, they do not work together or in unison.
You state:
"Global hegemony, control of energy resources by US empire"..
The last nation I believe to be a 'hegemony' nation was probably World War II Germany under Adolf Hitler.
World domination, in this way, isn't feasible under current human unity or organisational structure. Nor is the USA an absolute controlling influence in every current government or regime on earth today.
I believe what your specifically trying to point out is a form of 'absolute global influence'. Specifically and most likely by the United States. I believe you may be giving the USA to much credit. U.S. influence, even with your assertions of the U.S. supporting, secretly or publicly corrupt regimes, isn't feasible on a global scale today. In my opinion, true world control will never be achieved by mankind. The absolute limiting factor is man himself. Humans will always war. Never agree in totality. Regardless of organisations or secret societies.
Maybe some type of 'partial global invisible hand' is feasible by the ultra rich in the world. Especially in this global financial economy we have today. There is a much stronger possibility to secret shadow government structures within some global governments today.

@FT.I would like to know your learned opinion,in-depth analysis about Mobuto,Batista,Pinochet,Suharto,Anwar saadat,Zia-ul-Haq and Hosni Mobarak, Reza Shah Pahelvi, the blue-eyed boys of US empire.Didn't they suppressed and oppressed their own people? Why elected Soekarno,Patrice Lumumba,Salvador Allende were overthrown in coups?Who was behind their overthrow?Don't you know?Or pretend not to know?In 1957,first elected communist government assumed power in the Indian state of Kerala. In 1959,it was dismissed by the reactionary government, there were widespread demonstration against the communist government, law and order situation was deteriorating(according to Central government) and these were sufficient reasons to dismiss an elected government. In 1979,Daniel patrick Moynihan,a well known and respected academic, intellectual and diplomat wrote a book,in which he revealed that CIA gave funds to the ruling party at the centre, the Indian National Congress,to organize demonstrations against communist government.Ellis Burners, who was US ambassador to India from 1958 to 1961(I do not remember the exact period)corroborated it to his biographer.Whose theory stands crumbled?Or Moynihan and Ellis Burner were conspiracy theorists. What better could US empire do to further democratic agenda by hatching conspiracies to overthrow an elected government?
at 22:29 on November 23rd, 2010
"Whose theory stands crumbled"
I do not recall actually presenting a theory , so 'crumbling' it would be a little bit strange wouldn't it?
Actually The 1 summed it up pretty well, I believe that there are multiple power factions constantly struggling to gain supremecy , which has been true throughout history.
You do in fact claim the US is behind the worlds evils, saying you dont is meaningless when in response to every situation you scream "It is the USA thats behind it"
Like the other poster said you give them far too much credit, while I am in no way denying that the US has done some distasteful things and will likely do so again the future, the same can be said for virtually every nation on earth.
There will always be strife, corruption and greed in the world, to claim it is all coming from a single source is to simplify the matter greatly. We get your point you don't like the USA very much, I am not their greatest fan either, but let everyone take responsibility, not just them
at 09:49 on November 24th, 2010
TF.The theory that US empire invades other countries to free its population from oppression, dictatorship and installation of a democratically elected government stand crumbled.
Greed, corruption, strife, tribal and ethnic cleansing etc.are rampant worldover. No one blames the US empire for every evil, nor says that source of every evil is US empire."Throughout the world,on any given day,a man, woman or child is likely to be displaced, tortured, killed or"disappeared" at the hands of the governments or armed political groups, the United State shares the blame"-Amnesty International.1996.I am sure that your inference will revolve around the pet argument:Amnesty International doesn't like America, and thus holds America responsible for every evil.
"The United States wished things to turn out as they did,and worked to bring this about. The Department of State desired that United Nations prove utterly ineffective in whatever measures it undertook. This task was given to me,and I carried it forward with no inconsiderable success"-Daniel Patrick Moynihan, the then US ambassador to United Nations.TF,cite one example of this nature, statement by Russian or Chinese or French or British ambassador to UN,where their foreign ministries entrusted them the task to render UN ineffective.
@The 1.This is the American influence. One more example,to drive the point home:"Let's take a look at the record, and see what happened in the United Nations' Assembly meeting prior to the voting on partition.A two-thirds vote was required to pass the resolution. On two occasions the Assembly was to vote and twice it was postponed........intense pressure was applied to the delegates of three small nations by the United states'member and also by officials at the highest levels in Washington.....The decisive votes for partition were cast by Haiti,Liberia and the Philippines. These votes were sufficient to make the two-thirds majority.Previously these countries opposed the move....The pressure by our delegates,by our officials, and by the private citizens of the United States constitutes reprehensible conduct against them and against us."-Lawrence H.Smith,a member of the United states House of Representatives,18 December,1947.
This voting was about partition of palestine,I leave it to your judgement who these private citizens could be.This is one more example of US influence. No other member state of UNO applied these tactics.Doesn't it prove that in bullying tactics no country on earth can match US empire?Even comes no where to it.
at 11:32 on November 24th, 2010
You are hinting at the "We have bitten off more than we can chew" theory.
at 13:16 on November 24th, 2010
t k kidwai,
Your thoughts are noted. I believe the U.S.A. you referenced in your example was of a different time and world order. It's relevance in todays global political mix would prove somewhat minimal.
U.S. global influence on the world stage, what you referred to somewhat as 'bullying tactics', is being used by all modern world global nations today. Global markets and global economies actually require it.
Todays major political powers are constantly in a push and pull contest on many issues. Most recently the G20 and NATO summits. It's not all about the USA anymore. Russia, China, ASEAN, the EU Nations, South America, Africa, the Middle East countries can exhibit political clout when issues concerning any of these specific nations or regions are being debated or discussed. Even this current N. Korea situation that the U.S. is intimately involved, will require 'six' nation participation talks. U.S. global influence ( 'bullying' ) is far from 'absolute' in todays 'new world order'. 1
at 18:09 on November 24th, 2010
Even the attitude of US is same,as it was in 1947;to be more precise has been since the demise of League of Nations(Which was manipulated by two European bandits,Braitain and France)and inception of UNO,a creation of US empire with imperial designs. If you want I can qoute Bush Sr. and Jr.,Bill Clinton what they said on the floor of UNO regarding their unipolar stand on many issues.Read What James Baker,Secretary of State, writes in his memoirs about what tactics he used to secure votes in favour of US sponsored resolutions.I think it is waste of time to prolong this discussion, otherwise I would have qouted extensively from American sources to prove that US is the only rogue state, sponsor of international terrorism, creator of various terrorist organizations.
Cite any example,do not make generalized statement of bullying tactics of any other nation. If you compare an empire with an individual, then it is altogether a different matter.Did any veto weilding member of the Security Council,in the words of James A.Baker"cajoled, threatened, extracted, and on occasions bought votes.James Baker doesn't belong to 19th.century America.
at 05:50 on November 25th, 2010
To bring freedom and liberty to all people is a noble aim of the USA. The trouble is, limited capacity to accomplish this purpose.
The capacity for change and improvement begins within the nations best democracy. We have spent too much of the nation's scarce resources on external matters, and the deficit now threatens America internally.
Even a nation with a noble purpose must recognize its limits and live within its means.
at 04:08 on November 24th, 2010
Hey TKK, I have blue eyes.
