Norwegians sentenced to death in Kongo.
Two Norwegian citizens have been, during a military trial in Congo, given five times death sentence. Under the charges of spying, attempted murder and the murder of their driver.
During the trial, Norway have as well been charged and convicted with a debt of $60 million.
Norwegian minister of foreign affairs Jonas Gahr Store say that there is a large possibility of having the Norwegian pair in Congo sent home to fulfill their sentence in Norway.
Now it has been revealed that the Norwegian pair have been wanted for unlicensed arms found in Uganda.
They have appealed to the Congo supreme court and does not deny that the charge of spying might be invalid. Even if they do get a discharge, they still have a lot of mess to clean up after them.
One expert in law say that:
"The sentence is invalid, as the case should have been brought up in a civil court, not a military one, as there is no evidence that the two Norwegians are affiliated with an -army- of any case."
