The former president is shown here endorsing various candidates. I assume that those listed fulfill the title of "reformist candidates".
Iran's upcoming parliamentary elections will take place this Friday for which the flyer above relates to. This morning I found this laying on the floor at Vanak, no doubt from the night before (as with previous nights of the week) whereby many bibbed folk have been advertising various groups.
In this case the flyer presents the Iran Sarfaraz Party, for which I am not associated and know nothing about.
I'm a little stuck about what to do this time around on the elections and I might put it to you all to offer suggestions.
I feel I should exercise my right to vote (putting aside my lack of faith in any form of democratic process), yet worry that being completely ignorant of those remaining candidates that survived the filtering system. Being ignorant makes me wonder if I should simply not bother; but I have some other ideas:
1. Sell my vote to an out of town Iranian who is interested or stick it on Ebay.
2. Ask a friend to enlighten me of the candidates or even select them for me based on a mutual understanding.
3. Draw sheep on my ballot papers.
4. Pick female only candidates, or use some other superficials process by which to select candidates, i.e. with/without beards; with/without hats; scary looking or not.
Your help is requested.
