An Israeli intelligence source is reporting to both the Los Angeles Times and The New York Times that Hamas leadership and fighters - their core number estimated at 15000 by Israel - have been hit, a few hundred killed, but remain more or less intact. The Israeli targets, government buildings, where the elected Gazan government workers serve and care for Gazan civilian population needs have been however heavily bombed to rubble. The Israeli source spoke out that Hamas' ability to 'run the Gaza Strip' has been decimated, greatly damaging, curtailing and frustrating the ability of Hamas bureaucrats to serve the social, employment, medical and other needs of the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.
