NP Rank:
Now I Am Candidate For Post Of PPC President
The election of Peshawar Press Club will be held on December 30. I have also submitted my nomination papers for the post of president. It will be a happy news for all my friends that my nomination papers have been accepted. Though this will be tough contest, but I am going to be candidate for the post of president. Presently I have been going through a difficult time as there is still fighting in my hometown. Still I along with my wife and my children have been running for saving our lives. But I have decided to field myself as candidate for the post of the president.
I am hopeful after my victory in the election I shall be able to serve my community and tribesmen in a better way. The post of president of Peshawar Press Club is very important. Though it is always difficult for a peace activist to play politics, but at the moment I have no other option, but contest the election.
Please guide me. Please tell me whether my decision is right or wrong as I am open to all. I have also a big plan in my mind. After this election I have the desire to field myself as candidate for the National Assembly from my areas. I am sure I will win the election very easily. But at the moment it is not clear when the election will be held.
I shall be waiting for your advices.

Dear Muhammad Khurshid,Salaam, I‘ll pray for your nomination and success in press club election, I really respect you for your clear opinion about peace and your sympathy for the war effected persons. I think, you must take part in PPC election and your victory will be in fact a good news for all of your friends and peace lover, But I have no idea that a person like you should be the part of national assembly or not? Because I always think that a single person can’t do any thing in assembly against this system. Assembly, where every one is in the fever of war and attacks on NWFP, What may you do? What may do any one if he is not in its fever? I personally suggest you that you must keep in touch with the people of your hometown against every kind of discrimination and always raise your voice for the peace but here is nothing to be a part of national assembly, You must think about it, Regards, Ikram Ullah

When I read of the attack at the Press Club, I thought of you. My first thought this morning was of you and your fellow journalists who are striving to tell a truth so many Americans do not want to hear. You and your countrymen, the Afghan people, the Iraqis, and so many millions throughout the world who are victimized by America's greed deserve so much better. We have no notion of what it would be like to worry for our loved ones' safety 24 hours of every day. We are warm in our homes, have so much food that we waste enough to feed most of the planet, and we are shopping for presents to celebrate a commercialized christmas as if there were no recession in our country. Do not forgive our government. Know that there are millions of us who know these wars of occupation are wrong and we are working constantly to stop them. Blessings to you for your safety and your continued strong voice for peace.
