Mayor of New York visits Israel in solidarity with the citizens of Israel and Gaza.

Gazans being treated in Ashkelon Bloomberg, who has already visited Israel's rocket-battered region in the past, visited the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon and went down to the children's ward that has been relocated to the bomb shelter.

The mayor met with two Palestinian women from Gaza who were staying at the hospital. One of the women, from Gaza's Rimal neighborhood, arrived with her grandson that was born some three weeks ago and suffered medical problems. The boy's mother was left behind in Gaza and could not leave.

The other Palestinian woman Bloomberg met with was pregnant and waiting to give birth.

After inquiring about the two women's conditions, Bloomberg said it was unfortunate that children, as well as many innocent people are killed in wars, but the situation in the hospital was a testament to the State of Israel's humanity.

Some comparative statistics could help here. I believe its only a couple of dozen fortunate souls who are the benificiaries of this humane treatment? Whereas from the rest of the world's media we understand that there's a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, most especially in the hospitals, against which the UN, representatatives of charities such as Save The Children, etc are speaking out. There seems to be some imbalance here, hasbara so to speak. Especially since its reported that the specific purpose of Bloomberg's visit is a solidarity mission to demonstrate support for Israel:

(IsraelNN.com) New York City billionaire Mayor Mike Bloomberg, New York Congressman Gary Ackerman and city police commissioner Raymond Kelly are in Israel on a solidarity mission that was unpublished for security reasons

Bloomberg
As NYC Mayor, Bloomberg Has Redefined Role As ‘Jewish Pol’

Long before Bloomberg, 65, built his eponymous financial services empire or took the reins of New York City, he was an Eagle Scout growing up in Medford, Mass. He attended Temple Shalom, a Conservative congregation, with his family. Today he lives on New York City’s Upper East Side and attends Manhattan’s Temple Emanu-El, a Reform synagogue, on the High Holy Days. But in Bloomberg’s public life, his Jewish identity has hardly been overriding. As a philanthropist, he has donated to Jewish institutions — before taking office he was a trustee of The Jewish Museum — but has focused the bulk of his giving on arts, health and educational causes, including his alma mater, Johns Hopkins University. “Mike Bloomberg is proud of being a Jew, but he’s a ‘WASH’ - a white, Anglo-Saxon Hebrew,” said Douglas Muzzio, professor of public affairs at CUNY’s Baruch College. “Given his class and his secularity, he is a Jew, but in an ethnic and cultural sense.”

Bloomberg knows nothing about being humane。 He is 啊pro war hawk。 War and violence has no legitimacy in the world. War can never win peace. It has yet throughout the time of history proven its worth. People revert to fear instead of trust, and communication. Bloomberg is an example of what we don't need.

and what pray god do we need? People who agree with you and your friends criticism and personal attacks at everyone you guys don't like. Hmmm. What would Jesus the Jew say  listening to you rant about human beings and their character. I don't think that he would  exactly give you an award for the best follower in the world.

Interesting view you have there of Jesus. Do you think he performed miracles in the name of Allah (Aramaic remember) or do you think he was a magician ?

You only want war Tikun. You always look for an argument. I am not here to give you one. Why doesn't Israel start talking to people instead of attacking? You guys like bombing kids and schools. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1106542/Israel-bows-international-pressure-bombing-UN-school-Gazas-darkest-day.html.... Congratulations: You are now the terrorist.
