The economic difficulty that the country has been experiencing is mainly attributed to the foreclosure crisis. Now that the country has a new president, the housing problem is expected to be among the first to be addressed.

US President-elect Obama has chosen familiar names in his administration. Among which is former New York City housing commissioner, Shaun Donovan. Donovan is now the director of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

Considering the present situation in the country, the HUD definitely plays a big role in the recovery of the economy. Addressing the economic situation has to start with addressing the housing crisis. More and more families are losing their homes to foreclosure and an end has to be put to this.

Donovan is indeed a qualified chief. However, the real estate crisis is a very vast problem and he might need the help of foreclosure prevention experts. Among the qualified experts is April Charney.

Charney is a real estate lawyer who brought foreclosure defense to a higher level. Homeowners belonging to low and middle classes have been faced with problems in foreclosure trials and Charney brought this to the attention of the public.

Charney has a quite established reputation. Her face has been in papers all over the country like Forbes Magazine and The New York Times, as well as in web publications. She has appeared in many television interviews including Fox News. She was recently chosen as Person of the Year by The Folio Weekly, an independent Jacksonville newspaper.

Moreover, she has taught other lawyers across the country regarding relevant real estate topics and even case-specific matters. Indeed, she has countless achievements under her belt.

If the present administration is to address the foreclosure crisis, it has to choose the right people – those who can dedicate themselves in ensuring that families are able to stay under their own roof.
