Obama asks Supreme Court to sort out Obamacare
Ruling please
Feeling that lower courts delivered deficient findings, Obama is advancing his healthcare legislation on appeal to the Supreme Court. The outcome should provide more definitive guidance for future solution development.
“The administration is appealing directly to the Supreme Court to rule on health care reform, reports Robert Barnes: "The Obama administration moved aggressively Wednesday for Supreme Court review of the 2010 health-care act, making it likely a constitutional ruling on the president’s signature and most controversial domestic achievement will come in the thick of the presidential campaign. The administration said it was confident the act would be upheld as a valid exercise of federal power, just as Social Security and the Civil Rights Act were. If the court agrees to hear the case in the term that begins Monday, it would almost certainly render its decision by the end of deliberations in June. The administration called upon the justices to review the decision of a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit in Atlanta, which is the only appeals court to say Congress exceeded its power in passing the law."”
By the time the court rules it will be back to you Barry.

One more thing Obama has done that is equal to the Civil Rights Movement. With the Administrations every telling of the heroics of Obama -the Black struggle for social equality is watered down to be nothing more than Democrat propaganda.

I am not sure what you are saying here.
Advancing the healthcare legislation to the Supreme Court will help define the boundaries for a workable solution since current law may not do that.
Now, one thing I think we can agree about is that it has been easy to be a Democrat for a long time. All you have to do is be on the right side (left-liberal side) of an issue. It doesn't matter whether you are an effective legislator or not, just stand for the right thing and expect to become a victim of the conservative majority.

First, Obama Care is not equal to nor in any way "like" the struggle for Civil Rights for Blacks in America. Making such a suggestion reduces the Civil Rights Act to nothing more than partisan propaganda in the furtherance of a add on policy Obama jammed through with a Democrat only vote, and in the absents of full public disclosure, a fulsome of explanation, or public debate. Secondly. Well, now people across America are saying wait a minute. We've had some time with this. What about this and what about that and how is this cheaper for me and where is this coverage I'm supposed to get that I didn't have before. O.K.? let's talk about it. If it's good policy direction with real and effective benefit it will stand up to public scrutiny. A stacked SC of three making the decision is bogus. We don't need the SC confirming that Obama Care is law. We need open and honest look at what is troubling people. Not one more in a long line of rejections of their concerns. This is just Obama making another end run around debate. Congressional or public. He's more concerned with his political legacy than the people's concerns. If he's doing the right thing he has nothing to worry about. He'll have his legacy. If not his legacy will be sliced and diced by the next bunch in the WH until it's all gone but some wisp of propaganda value.

"The administration said it was confident the act would be upheld as a valid exercise of federal power, just as Social Security and the Civil Rights Act were." The inference is that Obama Care is equal and the same as Social Security and the Civil Rights Act. It's not. It's a simple add on and most certainly wasn't any civil struggle to get passed. LOL. He rushed it through on a Democrat only vote so fast Democrats to this day don't understand it well enough to explain it to their own constituents. And it's not the first time Obama has inferred that his pet policies are "Civil Rights like". The guy's way down on my respect meter and falling fast. That Black Caucus speech didn't help any.

Personally I like Obama, but after initial political effort failed with the original attempted healthcare plan legislation, it should have been dropped. I'm not a fan of this 'Affordable Care Act' .
