Obama attempts end run around First and Second Amendments

President Obama urges Senate ratification of a treaty posing "serious prudential risks to liberties guaranteed by the First and Second Amendments", reports the Heritage Foundation. "The convention appears to be an end run around domestic obstacles to gun control", they say.  The CIFTA treaty "seeks to criminalize a wide range of [now legal] gun-related activities ... and it would clash with the First Amendment’s protection of free speech", says Heritage.  It would also entitle foreign governments to extradite U.S. individuals exercising their First Amendment rights, they explain.
