Barack Hussein Obama Sr. - Educated by the Israeli Government

Amidst an increasing fear of President Obama's ties with Islam, we find breaking news that the Obama family has intellectual ties to Israel.

Recently uncovered Hawaiian newspaper articles from the 1960's reveal that Barack Obama Sr. was studying on a fellowship grant from the Afro-Asian Institute (Afro-Asian Institute for Cooperative and Labour Studies in Tel Aviv) which is an arm of the Histadrut (Israel's General Federation of Labour - Trade Union), The Histadrut was founded in 1920 during the British Mandate for Palestine and was headed in 1921 by David Ben Gurion and was to become one of the most powerful institutions in the state of Israel and indeed the torchbearer of the Labor Zionist movement. Under the guidance of David Ben Gurion the Histadrut was to become a national instrument for the realization of Zionism. In the mid 20's and early 1930's the Histadrut after some financial crisis came under the operating control of the Zionist Executive who is in charge of enforcing the Labor Zionist Movement's policies. The Zionist congress is the supreme institution in Israel of elected institutions, those being The Zionist General Council, and the Zionist Executive. The Zionist Executive is headed by a chairman who is president of the ZO (Zionist Organization, later WZO). During this time many historians claim the Histadrut became the executive arm of the Zionist Movement and that it actively became the embryonic "State In The Making".

In the early 1960's the Afro-Asian Institute was headed by Akiva Eger. A 1998 issue of Shalom magazine relates the mission of his organization and some of their work in Africa and Asia.

"The Histadrut - that historically, out of necessity, came to play a crucial role - past and present - in the development of the nation - as a people and as a political and economic entity. It was not just a trade union" EGER

Select outtakes:

---------------

"Israel sought to broaden ties with other countries and nurture cadres of future "movers and shakers" in other developing countries familiar with Israel; developing countries sought answers to their problems.

By the mid-1950s, Israel and the unique role of the Histadrut began to generate interest in these nations - first in Burma and India, and also in some African countries such as Mali, Senegal and Nigeria, and then elsewhere"

"While in the first decade (1958-1968) two-thirds of the participants came from Africa, with the 1973 Yom Kippur War and the severance by African nations of diplomatic relations with Israel"

"1994 the Afro-Asian Institute's name was changed to the International Institute"

"Israel benefited not only on the diplomatic front......"

"The growing desire for Israeli courses in agricultural cooperatives, trade unionism and cooperative economic frameworks are a sure sign of success."

---------------

While the full scope of the fellowship grants handed out by the Afro-Asian Institute during this period have yet to come to light. It can be extrapolated from material on Akiva Eger that it was done to Benefit Israel as a nation, and not through gestures of good will.

Many times throughout history the Zionist Movement has been offered portions of Africa by the Major Powers. In 1903 the British Government offered part of the territory in Kenya and Uganda to the Jewish Community. The sixth Zionist Congress considered the prospect, the seventh of 1905 rejected it. Even though rejected by leadership many Jewish families did move to Kenya. It is also worthy to note that the Nazi regime had a "Madagascar Plan" which would have created a homeland for Jews in Africa. Other regions of Israeli interest in Africa often follow the trail of the Lemba People, a group of Jews who traveled to Africa some 2500 years ago and settled in regions such as Ethiopia, Tanzania, Kenya, Malawai, Mozambique, South Africa and Zimbabwe.

We still do not know the full story as to why Israel felt Barack Hussein Obama Sr. was a "mover and shaker", and worthy of a education fellowship sponsored by the Israeli government.

So what point are you trying to make. Is this a serious article or is yourTongue deeply embedded in your mouth.

A dissemination of information as food to fuel thought in the readers mind.

It would be helpful to give some sources.

tikun,

When I write stories of a serious nature and if I am quoting from a source on matters which are not commonly accepted, I do Include (or try to) source material in my stories.

Often when I write material it is from a general amalgamation of information which has been implanted in my brain through years of reading, listening, traveling and experiencing. In those cases, unless I was to write a formal book for publication, citing sources on less than controversial information is unfortunately impractical.

A partial sampling of my personal library (which ironically relates to this story) was posted awhile back on nowpublic in a series of pictures entitled "I will show you mine if you show me yours". This was done after inadvertently (though in hindsight seemingly "obviously") provoking a comment war in a story on this web site.  I came back to that story the next day and decided amidst the chaos of comments it was not worth participating in what had become in my view a character assassination war. Instead for my final comment on that story and indeed in an admitted retiring from the war like escalation and lack of civility therein, I grabbed a few books, documents and personal mementos off the shelf behind me, and took camera phone pictures of them arranged nicely on my desk (Education and Knowledge of posters was called in to question).  I mention this now, as these materials could probably be listed as about 20% source material for this specific piece.

Cheers

This will be the last response. You may enjoy the woods and playing games with ideas and peoples lives. But making accusations is not a generally accepted practice. Sorry for disturbing your quality of life.
