Obama flunks economics
Yield = (>Revenue + >Quality) – (<Cost + <Time)
Optimizing Yield and Maximizing Return on National Resources is the job of President and Congress working together. Government Performance is measured by Gross Domestic Product and Service Performance Metrics for Providing for the Common Defense and Economic Well-Being of American Citizens.
“Obama gets very low marks on the economy in the latest Washington Post/ABC News poll, report Dan Balz and Jon Cohen: "By 2 to 1, Americans say the country is pretty seriously on the wrong track, and nine in 10 continue to rate the economy in negative terms. Nearly six in 10 say the economy has not started to recover, regardless of what official statistics may say, and most of those who say it has improved rate the recovery as weak...Overall, about six in 10 of those surveyed give Obama negative marks on the economy and the deficit. Significantly, nearly half strongly disapprove of his performance in these two crucial areas. Nearly two-thirds of political independents disapprove of the president’s handling of the economy, including — for the first time — a slim majority who do so strongly."”
If Obama flunks economics then Obama fails at the Presidency.

To repeat: Yield = (>Revenue + >Quality) – (<Cost + <Time)
Optimizing Yield is the result of increasing Revenues and increasing Quality at the expense of lowering costs and time to produce results.
In the instance of government, revenue is increased two ways: 1) increasing gross domestic product by creating an optimal environment for business and 2) increasing tax revenues.
You cannot increase commercial revenues if you don't provide proper incentives to business. Taxation is not an incentive.
When government has spent too much and outstripped its revenues, everyone has to pay back the excess to make up for mistakes.
For instance, the war in Iraq was a huge mistake that broke the bank. Enticing people to buy houses they could not afford broke the bank.

OMG! Some one has dared to criticize Obama. And no one has called anyone a racist? I'm staying indoors today. Large bits of sky are bound to come crashing down as the Obama dreamscape fractures. Finally people are waking up to this "no-change" government. Come on Independents. Rage against the machine. Let our voices be heard in every corner of the nation. Demand the change we were promised.

Actually, the $800 billion will eventually have a positive impact in the near term, probably in the next six months, in time for elections. The long term problem remains, though the combination of shutting down wars and an eventual tax hike on the wealthy will bring things back in line.
Of course, the wild card is the Middle East. If it blows, and oil is critically disrupted, there will be a free for all fight than can erupt in world war.
If Americans hunker down and adjust while simultaneously converting the economy to new energy sources in earnest, we might come out ahead in 20 years. If, if, if...

That money is gone, gone baby gone. If things get a little better by Nov. 2012, and I hope they get a lot better before then, I wont be surprised to hear Democrats taking the credit and talking about the "plan". Burying the last three years of "do nothing/wait and see" economic policy on employment, the national debt, an expanding Federal government, -and an ever greater need for higher taxation and the people to spend more and more just to hold the line- as all part of the success of the mysterious "Obama's big plan". Obama will probably get his second term, but it wont be because he's a good President or an effectual President. The Nation has not improved under his watch. What do they call all those other Presidents no one can remember? It's like somebody took the GW years, stretched them another eight, and wrote Obama on the last half. Wiped the chalk off their hands and now we all wait for 2016 to elect the next President post GW Bush.

Funny thing about this 'Washington Post' poll results; the general American population and voters in general seem to have a hard enough time choosing competent politicians over idiots like Palin and Joe the Plumber types than understanding the economic complexities of the American financial markets and global economics. Gross Domestic Product and Service Performance Metrics being only a part in understanding the effects of the recent global financial melt down on the US economy. Any who suggest at this time that President Obama is moving in the wrong direction, or disapprove of the President’s handling of the economy, maybe just don't completely understand the complexities involved in moving the US economy forward from the mess left by the previous Administration ( Bush/Cheney/Republicans gang )

Ya gotta love these partisan quarterbacks. Bush left such a mess with his policies but, Obama executing the exact same policies, bailouts, tax breaks, no movement on unemployment, no movement on job creation, talk of bigger bailouts, starting yet another war, enlarging Federal government, this is now a good and going to get us out of the mess. LOL. What a bunch of maroons. You'd think partisan mumbling would take a back seat under the conditions but, no, after three years on Obama's watch it's still all Bush's fault, and even poor much maligned Sarah Palin has to be dragged into it. Joe the Plumber! WTF!? Some working stiff who has to scrimp and save to keep a couple others on a payroll now has to carry the blame because some partisan Obama idol worshiper can't have Obama taking responsibility as President of these here United States. LOL. Ya, it's always someone else's fault. The last buck in circulation wont get passed around like Obama's responsibility for the last three years in office. LOL.

As I basically stated above..
Takes someone with a bit of common sense and intimate or supreme knowledge of financial markets, global banking, and global economic realities in the 21st century to understand what has happened.
Those who skew or twist meanings and write rubbish about it, basically couldn't be expected to know the difference between clueless Palin, Joe the Plumber, idiot Bush, or President Obama.

Well, there is no doubt you inhale! LOL. Intimate and supreme knowledge. LOL. Any tool can scream "it's all Bush's fault." That's the extent of your supreme knowledge? LOL. Bogart that joint dude it's messin' with your economic reality.

The reality of general American voters mentality, is pretty accurately reflected in your responses .30-06. Thanks for making my point..lol

Proof the common man isn't as ignorant as you project, rather most aware of your perchance to partisan blatherings and overt idol-worship. The arrogance and the audacity of those as yourself who hold themselves to have supreme knowledge are always defeated by the humble commoner who chooses to face reality over idealism. :-)

"The arrogance and the audacity of those as yourself who hold themselves to have supreme knowledge are always defeated by the humble commoner who chooses to face reality over idealism. :-)"..
I guess I wouldn't define intelligence necessarily as being arrogance audacity or idealistic.
More accurately, this is what happens when the masses, in all there humble and common reality, are guided by false assumptions, incorrect ideas and inaccurate knowledge.
The big difference between an educated intelligent President like Obama, and an idiot president like Bush is competent judgement and foresight. Bush had neither. Not to mention the dangers of having someone nearly mentality handicapped like Palin, within a hairs breath of the White House thanks to McCain.. Yet many of the humble masses thought she was just the greatest..Many still do, though not as many..
Most intelligent people see people like Palin and Joe the Plumber political types for who they really are. The masses don't always realize it till much later, if ever. It was the masses who elected Bush over two supremely intelligent alternatives in Al Gore and John Kerry. I guess they got would they wanted..'commoner reality' ! lol
