Obama: 'I am outraged' and Disrespected by Rev. Wright
By Albert N. Milliron, Politisite
Barack Obama has come out today denouncing very clearly Rev. Wright's statements while maintaining his love for his church. Obama said that he is outraged that Rev. Wright would believe the U.S. Government had something to do with developing th AIDS virus to kill off Black Americans. He also related that he feels disrespected that he would come out against Rev. Wright because it is political Expedient to do so. He told reporters, "any one who knows me". knows that that is not the kind of person I am.
Barack Obama's Statements come following Rev. Wrights statements at the National Press Club in Washington DC.
What this writer noted by viewing the satellite feed of Rev. Wright at the NPC was that it appeared that he was being protected by the Nation of Islam. Rev. Wright had stated that he had been receiving death threats. I am just wondering what is wrong with the security provided by the NPC?
This writer believes that Senator Obama is sincere in his statements on Rev. Wright. I have been duped before, but I really don't think this is political spin. One thing, whether you agree with Obama or not, he is a man of integrity.
Please see the attached video of Senator Obama's statements.
"I am outraged by the comments that were made yesterday and saddened by the spectacle," Barack Obama just said about the things said Monday by Rev. Jeremiah Wright, his former pastor.
Obama has opened a news conference in North Carolina with a statement.
He's also said that "if Rev. Wright thinks" that what he's saying today is "political posturing, then he doesn't know me very well."
Obama specifically condemned Wright's comments that the government might have been responsible for the AIDS virus and Wright's expressions of support for National of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan.
"When I say I find these comments appalling, I mean it," Obama said.
Update at 2:35 p.m. ET. "That's enough:"
Obama has finished his news conference. Toward the end, he spoke about how he fundamentally disagrees with the things that Wright has said -- and that the minister's questioning of whether Obama has been sincere in his objections offended him greatly. Here's what that sounded like:

politisite, I like this story.
It's amazing how long this story has been going on for. Or, considering campaign politics, perhaps not.

Seems that Rev. Wright is being truthful about his views and the type of person he is. But if so, it calls into question how truthful Sen. Obama has been about his relationship with his preacher and his own views. Rev. Wright stands by his statements, regardless of how others may judge them. The only person that has changed there position on who Rev. Wright is, seems to be Sen. Obama. So, who is being honest? The preacher or the politician!

What I think is Senator Obama is having a real difficult time with the prospect of having to seperate himself from a man who brought him to a saving faith in Jesus, Married Him, Baptised his children, and mentored him for so many years. It makes it much more difficult when in public. He not only has to do what he think is right but he has to measure his responces so as not to be thought as a politicaly expedient move.
This is not Senators Obama biggist problem. When folk start asking the question, "what is Liberation theology'? When one finds out that it has roots in Maxism, and combative tactics due oppression. When they find out that the reason that Rev Wright and the nation of Islam are not opposed because it come from the same type of theology. A theology that doesn't forgive but wishes for the demise of your oppressor past or present. I am working on an article that will cover the subject from all angles so those who read will get a better understanding of what Liberation theology is and what the implications are if a liberation theology convert becomes the President.

politisite, I like this story. It's good stuff. Whacko Religious Leaders and their Wild, Silly, Fancy "Mel Gibson Conspiracy theories", know "No religious denomination". Funny the old adage, "You never learn anything by talking" certainly opened Obamas eyes to his Yammering, Idiot Race Card Playing, Religious Mentor and Colon Taster, didn't it? Hillary must be in her Ecstatic element right about now, her eyes closed, head tilted heavenward, and arms outstretched spinning in countless circles shouting "Press Release, Press Release, Ohh Billy, Billy, "Where are my Depends?" I feel like celebrating, bring me a Sniper Rifle (Politically Speaking), BAMA's aint gonna be dodging this one, BAMA's Goin Down!
