Obama will spend the next 10 days overseas, visiting India, Indonesia, South Korea and Japan and before he left the United States he commented on the latest unemployment record saying it was 'encouraging' but 'not good enough'; the record showed a gain of 151,000 jobs last month.

Before he departed he said:

"The most important competition we face in this new century will not be between Democrats and Republicans. It's the competition with countries around the world to lead the global economy," Obama said. "Our future depends on putting politics aside to solve problems, to worry about the next generation instead of the next election."

The President will make a stop-over in Germany before landing in Mumbai India at around noon local time on Saturday. He will split his time between Mumbai, the financial center on the Arabian Sea and New Delhi. He will also meet with many leaders, but also with schoolchildren and college students and will even spend some time seeing some of India's sights.

First off he is expected to go to the site of the Taj Hotel to commemorate the victims of the Mumbai terror attacks in 2008. He will also stay overnight at the hotel.

He will also visit the Gandhi Museum in Mani Bhavan Mumbai before a meeting on November 7 with leaders of industry in India at the US-India Business Council.

On Sunday he will join in the Diwali celebrations with school children at the Holy Name High School in Mumbai and will spend 15 minutes watching the students perform traditional dances and showcasing some of their environmental projects. He will then travel to another school for a Townhall meeting with university students before traveling to New Delhi in the evening.

His first stop will be Humayun's tomb, which is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun, which was commissioned by his wife in 1562 CE.

Obama and Michelle will have a private dinner with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife and will meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi and the U.S. Ambassador at the Roosevelt House.

On the 8th he is expected to visit Rajghad, the memorial to Mahatma Gandhi in New Delhi and he could meet with a number of others throughout the day, but the official schedule has not been released.

It is thought he will visit with President Pratibha Patil that night and attend a presidential banquet.

He will leave with Michelle on the morning of November 9 to spend less than 24 hours in Indonesia.

Michelle Obama is then expected to fly home and Obama will continue to South Korea and Japan.

Love all the haters who hate on the President. Every President has visited countries while in office. But now it's different because some idiot named Huckabee has reported a $200 million bill a day for this trip. Hey Huckabee shut you lips along with your wanna be friends in the govt. Rush Fatboy Limbaugh go do your painkillers and screw women and make them your next wife because you can't keep it in your pants. What's this your sixth wife? Who would marry your fat ass is beyond me you KKK jackoff. Bush was such a great man he ignored Katrina remember all you haters? Bush was the most waste of a President just like his father was. I can't wait till the new regime in Congress fails so all you idiots who think things were bad before can rethink how you voted for all this change.

This trip is much needed by the President to visit important allies. The timing is good for him.
