Obama: 'McCain Is To Bush As Robin Is To Batman'
Last night, Democratic Presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama was campaigning in the state of New Mexico. According to the CNN electoral map, this is a state that is leaning towards voting Obama. However, things can change from now and until Election Day on November 4.
Today, Obama had an interesting jab to give to GOP Presidential nominee Senator John McCain of Arizona. Yesterday, Senator Joe Biden of Delaware, the VP running-mate of Obama, made a similar jab to McCain.
So far, Obama and Biden have been connecting McCain with current United States President George W. Bush.
During the rally, Obama had this interesting jab towards McCain. He had compared McCain to Robin and Bush to Batman. Obama attacked McCain’s suggestion that he would be the one to change the policies of Bush.
Obama had compared it to VP Dick Cheney attacking Bush.
However, he added that it is like Robin getting angry at Batman. It was the day after the second US Presidential debate in which Biden had said that McCain was more of a sidekick to Bush.
In that regard, Obama said: “It’s like Robin getting mad at Batman. John McCain hasn’t been a maverick. He’s been a sidekick when it comes to George Bush’s economic policies.”
While we have heard interesting jabs, this is by far one of the most interesting as to compare to Bush and McCain to Batman and Robin. But one can say that jab is pretty harsh.

Being called "Robin" is harsh? No, harsh is being called a Communist, Terrorist, Muslim, Foreigner, etc, etc. All fear-mongering lies from the McCain campaign. Obama calling McCain Robin is graceful in comparison.
Consider this. When the McCain campaign volunteer did a hoax mugging saying she was mugged, Obama said one thing: "I wish her a speedy recovery". That is class. That is a man. That is a leader.

What is really interesting about Senator Obama's accusation is that Robin actually DID disagree with Batman [on crime-fighting methods, no less] and left the Caped Crusader to join the Teen Titans and later become Nightwing. So perhaps the comment is a deeply veiled endorsement?
