Obama Meets Blair in Final Day of Tour
US Presidential hopeful Barack Obama has today met with ex-PM Tony Blair, still hugely-popular with Americans, to discuss peace in the Middle East.
LONDON (AFP) — US presidential hopeful Barack Obama on Saturday met Tony Blair, the international Middle East peace envoy and former British prime minister, opening the final day of his foreign tour.
Blair visited the Democratic nominee for a breakfast meeting at Obama's London hotel, where their talks focused on the Middle East peace process, Blair's spokesman said.
Obama -- who has been travelling abroad in a high-profile effort to show US voters how he can handle foreign policy issues -- was in Jordan, Israel and the West Bank earlier in the week.
"They exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and its wider implications, in light of senator Obama's visits this week and Mr Blair's continuing efforts to promote peace and prosperity," the spokesman said.

It's only a high profile effort cuz all the reporters jumped ship (the US) to follow him around like a bunch of star-struck groupies. I'm so sick of this Omamania crusade, that's what we got a remote for. He lied about his whole trip and he slighted American soldiers for the gym. Oh, boo-hoo, they won't let my campaign staff go with me, blame it all on the Pentagon.
He has absolutely no credentials in my view and many others down here. Even many New Orleans blacks have got wise to him.
