NP Rank:
Obama Offers Taliban 6 Provinces for 8 Bases
This may be the major reason for Obama's delay in deciding what to do about Afghanistan.
When Obama stated that he was going to reach out to the Islamic world, he was not kidding. The weakness of Obama has lead to the Taliban getting stronger. He has even given the Taliban the OK to participate in the future political landscape of Afghanistan. Apparently none of this was enough though, and now Obama is willing to share power in Afghanistan with the Taliban thugs. This is straight out of the Twilight Zone.
Negotiations have apparently been going on for weeks, with denials all in place from the US Embassy, from Pakistan, from the Taliban. Proposal has also been turned down by Taliban.
ISLAMABAD – The emboldened Taliban movement in Afghanistan turned down an American offer of power-sharing in exchange for accepting the presence of foreign troops, Afghan government sources confirmed."US negotiators had offered the Taliban leadership through Mullah Wakil Ahmed Mutawakkil (former Taliban foreign minister) that if they accept the presence of NATO troops in Afghanistan, they would be given the governorship of six provinces in the south and northeast," a senior Afghan Foreign Ministry official told IslamOnline.net requesting anonymity for not being authorized to talk about the sensitive issue with the media.
He said the talks, brokered by Saudi Arabia and Turkey, continued for weeks at different locations including the Afghan capital Kabul.
This seems like a betrayal to me, to the people, especially the women, of Afghanistan, as well as our country, the United States of North America, as well as all the other countries who have been involved in Afghanistan. Please note the involvement of our 'good friends', Saudi Arabia.

The internet serves up more news than the MSM, period. Got a problem with my posting, Roy? I would have posted it sooner, but have been feeling poorly, and this one absolutely nauseated me.

This is what I just found:

Thanks, tikun. just tell them to JFGI.

"....this one absolutely nauseated me."
I'll second that. whooooeee.
That just has to gladden the hearts, and brighten the spirits, of all the men laying down their lives over there.
Regarding the statement that the MSM requires proof, i can recall more than one occasion where that was simply not the case. Mostly it depends on how they want you to look.

You just have to laugh at some people who still rely on the MSM and their 'ethics'.
Why would the MSM pick up on a story sure to enrage at least half of America and the rest of our allies, as well as show 'their' B.O.in true light?

Seems to me that Karzai in his speech to his people offered a hand to the Taliban. Whether this is in this form or just an olive branch remains to be seen.
The White House apparently is also looking at working directly with Governors of Provinces, which seems odd to me, in view that they call Karzai Legitimate.
Working directly with Provinces would cut funding to Karzai and limit his ability to channel funds wherever he wants.

Agreed, cowboy.
But if Karzai has no control in the provinces, and it looks more and more that way, then they have to deal with those that do have control....assuming the Govenors are not the enemy

Here's one that puts the true light on the people Obama is trying six ways to make a deal with: Appeaser in-chief and the Taliban . (Warning! Graphic images)

THAT will make you lots of friends........... ;]

I don't know if this is true. I wish it to be true. That would be a smart move. Remember we went to Afghanistan to fight Alkida. Everyone knows that there are only about 100 Alkida members in Afghanistan at this point. They have left. The Talaban is not interested in comming to America to bomb us. The only reason we are still in Afghanistan is to stabilize the country. If by making peace with the Taliban we can save the lives of our brave young men and save a trillion dollars at the same time, then I would call it brilliant. That would free us up to go after Alkida in Somalia, Pakistan and other locations. By the by, I really can't understand the hatred I am reading here toward our president. It is self-defeating for our country. Patriotism please!

When you are Top Dog, and 'the buck stops there', this is the country free to express criticism.
If you want to call that hate or racism, that only dodges the issues in question.
