Obama says race not the main reason for criticism

"Are there people out there who don’t like me because of race? I’m sure there are,” Obama said. “That’s not the overriding issue here.” “I think there are people who are anti-government. I think there’s been a longstanding debate in this country, more fierce during times of transition or changes. The things that were said about FDR were pretty similar to the things that were said about me. Things that were said about Ronald Reagan were pretty vicious as well.”

Obama is exactly right on this.

Not everything is about race.

This is about politics, ideology,

not about racial hatred. Some

black people strongly opposed

Bush. Were they racist? No

doubt there are black and white

racists in the US. But opposing

the policies of a black president

is not racist. The people opposing

Obama would have just as strongly

opposed Kerry or Clinton.

The fact that racists oppose Obama does not mean all who oppose Obama are racists.

Most communists supported Obama but not all Obama supporters are communists.

I tend to agree with this article. Racism definitely exists, but it is not espoused by everyone. I like to believe that many of us don.t see colour.

Actually the president of the USA should be more worried about his attractiveness to his voters and concentrate on that smile of confidence.

The point is he is black, he was voted in and he was the people choice, however if he was also a women or a gay as well as being black, that would of made a better issue for debate. The problem is the racial card from time to time is pulled. Its actually getting boring, the guys doing not so bad and he has change world opinion to America's favor.

The racial idiots seemingly are just that idiots. They should see him as he is human with a very important job he should only be picked up for his mistakes and not for the color of his skin.
