By KATHARINE Q. SEELYE Published: December 17, 2008Barack Obama has selected the Rev. Rick Warren, the evangelical pastor and author of “The Purpose Driven Life,” to deliver the invocation at his inauguration, a role that positions Mr. Warren to succeed Billy Graham as the nation’s pre-eminent minister and reflects the generational changes in the evangelical Christian movement.
Politics makes strange bedfellows, as they say.

Billy Graham served faithfully for the 'Great Commission' assigned by His great master Jesus Christ. Even though 'some people' did not like him, God is much pleased with his work and will reward him accordingly. No doubt millions of people have known Christ through his preaching and prayer. I salute this saint. He has honoured and God will honour him.

I could feel the presence of God during Pastor Rick Warren's prayer. Americal needs Evangelical pastors and Believers who would continuously intercede for the salvation and the prosperity of the nation. I deeply appreciate President Obama's choice of Pastor Rick Warren.
