The first however-many days of Barack Obama's presidency have been a study in amateurism.
I agree with this view. Obama
has intelligence and ability but
lacks political experience and
that is needed to make tough
decisions,.
Many suspected that Obama wasn't quite ready, but kept their fingers crossed. Optimistic disappointment is the new holding pattern.
What's missing from Obama's performance isn't the intelligence that voters acknowledged in electing him. It's the experience they tried to pretend didn't really matter.

I don't know if it's a lack of experience. Any one of 10,000 common punters could've told him Summers, Geitner, Daschle and Rahm Emmanuel were wrong picks.

He has much to learn and better get it right soon or otherwise he too will be history.
His comments on foreign policy was a disaster and very embarrassing. I fault his advisors for letting him make statements about Russia that were so poorly phrased and showed a complete lack of understanding about what is going on currently on the global stage. We can not afford screw ups with Iran breathing down the backs of the world with their threat of mushrooming the world. We may all be reporting events from another realm all together.
