Obama: Flags to Half-staff After Shooting

President Obama said that flags at all federal buidlings will be flown at half staff starting and continuing until Veteran's Day a "modest" gesture for the fallen in the Fort Hood shootings.

Obama said there are still a lot of unknowns in the case but  "What we do know is that there is a family and friends and an entire nation grieving right now."

Obama cautioned against rushing to judgment and said the American public will be kept informed as the facts come to light.

The Fort Hood Shootings clearly overshadowed Obama's statements on the economy and the fact he was also signing a bill that would extend unemployment benefits.
