Move America Forward’s political action committee today condemned Barack Obama for “putting his own political objectives ahead of the safety of U.S. military personnel in Iraq.”  In addition, the group released the advertisement, “Obama’s Iraq Deception”.

Iraqi government sources have revealed to the New York Post that Democratic Party presidential nominee Obama demanded Iraqi officials stop negotiations with the Bush Administration to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq. Fearful that the success in Iraq would harm his political aspirations, Obama sought to keep U.S. troops in Iraq so he can continue attacking the Bush Administration for not imposing a timetable for withdrawal.

“If these allegations prove to be true, it should be the end of the Obama campaign,” asserted Melanie Morgan, chairman of MAF Freedom PAC chairman, the political action arm of the nation’s largest pro-troop organization, Move America Forward.

“Obama should have the decency to recognize that he lacks the moral character to serve as Commander-in-Chief, and he should withdraw from the ticket. I have never heard of any candidate deliberately trying to get Americans killed to prove their point.”

According to the New York Post story, not only did Obama seek to get the Iraqi’s to stop negotiating with Americans on the troop drawdown, he also tried to bully Gen. David Petraeus to agree to a hard withdrawal date.

“The hypocrisy of Barack Obama to say in the United States that he wants a speedier troop withdrawal date, while telling the Iraqis to stop negotiating is appalling. Even supporters of a quicker U.S. withdrawal must be sickened by his conduct in Iraq. If there was ever a candidate who has demonstrated the lack of character and leadership to represent the United States in foreign affairs, it is Barack Obama,” Morgan concluded.

disgraceful attack by a desperate mccain

That Master Jim ingnorantly accuses the McCain campaign of attacking Obama on this issue shows how little mastery Jim has of politics or the real world. PACs cannot by law work with or even communicate with campaigns. It would be a fatal error.

It is also telling of Master Jim's nonexistant grasp of issues that he would ignore the facts of the MAF-PAC advertisement: Obama desperately fooled around with foreign policy for political reasons just as mcCain moves ahead in polls. That is the issue, and MAF's commercial is dead-on the money.

That Master Jim had the guts to sign for a verified account allows him to say whatever he wants, even if it upsets FOPs.

As for this attack.  it is more trash out of the mouths that slimed McCain and now he has allowed them into his camp and put the red light at his doorway.

Targeting your articles toward an illiterate readership only able to absorb the emotional queues of fear and eroticism of a given written piece is your choice ...

To anyone capable of independent thought, on the other other hand, the assertions given voice by your article are simply balderdash!

Cheers, Emilio
