Obama victory: french headlines celebrate the President elect. by Palagret

Most french people would have vote for Barak Obama if it had been possible. The day after his victory, french newspapers where very positive.

Le Monde, a very serious paper, wrote without any emphasis: "L'Amérique choisit Barak Obama" (America chooses Barak Obama) and added a special supplement titled "Mister Président".

Libération, a left paper, said: Un rêve d'Amérique" (a dream of America).

Le Canard enchainé, a satiric weekly: "L'Amérique n'a plus peur du noir" (America is not afraid of the dark (black) anymore. Happy Hour!

Aujourd'hui said: 84 % of the french people is happy for Obama.

L'Humanité, the communist newspaper said "L'onde de choc Obama" (The Obama shockwave).
