Obama Wins Presidential Election - Member and World Reaction
Barack Obama's presidential win is being reported by news agencies and NowPublic members alike, with congratulations all around.

World Reaction
Out of Pakistan, NP member voiceforpeace says that many tribesmen in his region were celebrating, many calling it the defeat of terrorism:

Rob Walker, I like this story. It's good stuff. What I have seen on the news and on the net since last night is such a large positive world reaction, from Kenya where Obama's father was from to European countries where Obama mania is also strong, to Canada in the big cities like Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver! It has been overwhelming to see such a huge support base among ordinary people around the globe.
