UPDATE: This is the second recent incident involving Obama's aircraft.

Update: In January, Obama's plane struck another aircraft while Obama's Cessna was taxiing at Midway Airport in Chicago. No one was hurt in that incident.

Original story follows.

Obama's Md-80 experienced flight problems today. Obama was enroute from Chicago to Charlotte.

The National Transportation Safety Board said Monday that it is investigating what caused Senator Barack Obama’s plane to make an unexpected landing today in St. Louis.

The presumptive Democratic nominee for president was traveling from Chicago to Charlotte when the pilot's first officer announced that they were experiencing controllability issues with the pitch of the MD-80 series aircraft.

This is a developing story, in terms of two separate aircraft incidents involving Obama's self-chosen aircraft. The mechanical failure was termed "serious."

Thanks, Julian--my perspective is a bit different. Although both Highlight and the auto-tagging forced me to post in little bits, the gist of my post is that this is the second flying incident involving Obama's private craft this year.

BTW, if you get time, could you let the programming wizards know that the system is still slinging out tons of auto  keywords on its own, then refusing to publish because there are too many keywords?   ;}  Thanks in advance.

PEP, I'll pass that on. I've seen that problem too, thanks for the heads up.
