Observations on the Caylee Anthony story

Just a few observations from an outside bystander reading the many accounts of the Caylee story on the internet.

Of particular interest to me recently is transcripts of the 911 calls, the detectives findings, etc that can be found here:

If there were any doubt in my mind before reading these that Caylee's mother Casey had anything to do with her disappearance and murder, after reading through many of these, those doubts have long since disappeared. What disturbs me just as much in some ways, is observing Cindy, Casey's mother. Her first 'honest' phone calls with 911- then her very disturbing, yet evident, turn to 'protecting' her daughter, whom she blatantly admitted stole from her, lied to her, among other things. Being that Casey has shown that she is apparently a habitual liar, perhaps she got some of that from her mother. I'm no scientist, nor a psychologist, but I have read that some of the traits that these type of people have can be inherited. Now Cindy Anthony has gone from supposedly trying to find her granddaughter, to nothing but protecting her daughter, even when obviously shown the damning evidence against Casey, Caylee's mother.

It is just my opinion, but I believe that it is very possible that Cindy Anthony learned the truth, after her initial phone calls to police, and then began to backtrack to try to protect her daughter from the investigation that she herself basically started.

I can not imagine how difficult it is to be the grandparent of the victim and the parent of the accused as well. You can not allow yourself to be objective because you will end up where the grandfather did, considering suicide.

I agree. I cant imagine how George feels. His wife, I am not certain about, truly. I cant help but wonder if she doesn't know more than she lets on. But I just cant put myself in George's shoes. I dont know how he is managing.
