OCCC Lockdown: Reports of Gunman but Shot Fired by Security Guard

The Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) was on lockdown earlier today after reports that a gunman was seen on campus

However, Oklahoma police have now released a statment that there was no gunman on campus, and the shot heard was accidentially fired by a campus security guard.

According to News9.com, the school was evacuated and police were on the campus searching for the possible gunman. 

A message from the school on their website read:

"There has been an incident on the OCCC campus. OKC police are investigating. The campus is on lockdown. Employees and students should not come to campus at this time."


Oklahoma City Community College is located off Interstate 240 and Interstate 44 in southwest Oklahoma City.
