Wilmington | Authorities are looking for a 21-year-old man last seen Saturday evening. Detectives consider Robert Stanley Perry, of Ohio, at risk because he’s unfamiliar with the Wilmington area and left without his wallet and cell phone, according to a statement from Lucy Crockett, spokeswoman for the Wilmington Police Department.
Perry is a white man about 6 feet 2 inches tall, with short dark brown hair and brown eyes, according to the statement. He weighs about 175 pounds and was last seen wearing red shorts, a blue T-shirt and athletic shoes.
Perry’s friends reported him missing to police Saturday night and enlisted the help of the CUE Center for Missing Persons on Sunday morning, according to Monica Caison, the group’s founder.
On Sunday, volunteers looked for Perry and posted missing signs. Caison said Perry’s friends told her he had been acting unusual prior to his disappearance.
He came to Wilmington on Friday with family friends, Caison said. Perry was last seen at the home where he and friends were staying in the Joshua’s Landing community, which is off Greenville Loop Road, Caison said.
He was last seen around 6:15 p.m. Friday and was reported missing around 11 p.m., she said.
