Dakar, Senegal (ANTARA News) - The 11th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) is slated to be officially opened by Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad badawi, chairman of OIC`s 10th Summit, on Thursday afternoon.
The opening will be followed by the election of the new OIC chairman.
The summit is scheduled to adopt the OIC new agenda and programs as well as listen to OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu`s report.
The Indonesian delegate which is led directly by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will focus on revitalizing OIC`s roles to serve as a forum for its member countries to answer Muslims` challenges in the 21st century.
Besides attending all functions at the summit, President Yudhoyono would also have bilateral meetings on Thursday with the leaders of some OIC member-countries, including Palestine, Bangladesh and Sudan.
The summit will take place on March 12-15. (*) end
