OJ Simpson to Confess in Oprah Interview?

Several outlets are reporting that OJ Simpson is set to confess to the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, and will say that he acted in self-defense after his wife pulled a knife on him. Apparently this confession will take place in a televised interview special to be shot where OJ Simpson is serving a prison sentence.

However, we're having trouble finding any real confirmation of this. Most links point to a National Enquirer report that doesn't seem to exist, or to a Fox News story that is offline. The National Enquirer had an "OJ will confess" story in 2008, but it pertained to a book deal. If I Did It was eventually published by the Goldman family, but is supposedly a work of fiction.

Oprah Winfrey has made no secret about wanting OJ to confess on her network, OWN. Supposedly OJ Simpson confessed to murdering his wife to Oprah in 1994, but we have to put emphasis on the "supposedly".

An admission of guilt would surprise very few people, as, despite the acquittal earned by the theatrics of Johnny Cochran and the late Robert Kardashian, the DNA evidence from the crime scene was damning.

OJ Simpson is currently serving a 33-year sentence at Lovelock Correctional Center in Nevada for robbery and kidnapping, with no possibility of parole for the first nine years. If OJ Simpson were to confess to the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson, he could not be tried again, due to "double jeopardy" laws which prevent a defendant from facing multiple trials for the same charge.

The OJ Simpson trial also pushed the Kardashian family into the public eye, the repercussions of which we are still experiencing.
