Truemors
In the 1960's the US had taken over the airport. They decided to put on a "new" lowered ceiling from the original entry. We were standing on top of that ceiling, looking at the original entry area (glass looks out on the parking lot). Much of the limestone and detailing has been taken from the walls here to repair the other areas of the airport.
June 15, 2008 - A tour of Airport Templehof, which is scheduled to close in fall of 2008.
