This is sad - not that I supported her decision to have children in the first place so late in life, but that was her decision and to have it taken from her is just wrong.

Will people claim that this woman is selfish? YES! Is she? My response is, yes, but little more than anyone that has children, the motivation for which is purely selfish. Be honest, try to think of even one reason for having children that is not SELFISH. If you believe you are doing the race a favor by propagating it, think again, as ALL the environmental problems of the planet are a direct result of overpopulation. If people were altruistic and selfless, they would either have absolutely no children, or, at the very least, limit their breeding to one or, at most, two, offspring. Remember, there are millions of children out there being produced by the ignorant, poor, drug addicted, or, merely, thoughtless, that are available for adoption, if, what you desire, is a baby to nurture and love. If only human beings would begin to be thoughtful beings rather than the breeding masses they are. Perhaps, it is too much to wish for with all the superstition ie. religious beliefs, cultural biases, and female subjugation that is so prevalent in this world. Keep in mind, ALL the environmental ills that are befalling the planet (water and air pollution, global warming, depletion of our natural recourses, etc) are caused by OVERPOPULATION!

I wonder if her pregnancy didn't trigger her cancer.  During pregnancy there are big changes in the immune system.
