So that must be great news for President Bush. During his presidentship he ordered artillery-fire everywhere. So he must enjoy the latest news form the Olympics.

Every arrival of a foreigen president and other reallly important persons gives the Chinese a lot of joy. Yes they are really happy when a lot VIP's show up. Specially at the Opening Ceremony omn August 7th.

They are so happy that they ordered 14 specially made pieces of fine Artillery in an classic style. Every time someone important arrives these nice peaces of military power are fired eight times. Eight is the lucky number in China.

So George Bush will enjoy his arrival at Beijing airport. A ot of loud salutshots, i'm sure the man will be surprisingly happy. When he's a little bit lucky he can grap also some nice gunshots for other presidents that arrive at the same time or just a little bit later.

The militairs near these Olympic Artillery are just for the show. Makes such a nice impression. These old-fashioned look-a-likes are modern pieces equipment and are fired by a computerprogram.

No idea how many times these fourteen are fired, but it will give a lot of noise and air pollution. Not susch a good idea to realize real green Olympics. Furthermore this militairy involment doesn't fit with sports and absolutely not with the Olympic Games.

Want to know why George Bush is going to the Olympics?

President George W. Bush, on why he's attending the Beijing Olympics, July 6:

I view the Olympics as a opportunity for me to cheer on our athletes. It's an athletic event. I had the honor of dealing with the Chinese – two Chinese Presidents – during my term, and every time I have visited with them I have talked about religious freedom and human rights. . .

I also believe that the Chinese people are watching very carefully about the decisions by world leaders. . . I happen to believe not going to the opening games would be . . . an affront to the Chinese people, which may make it more difficult. . . to be able to speak frankly with the Chinese leadership. That's why I'm doing what I'm doing. And I'm looking forward to cheering the athletes.
