One killed when mortar shell fell down on home in Landikotal

One person killed when a mortar shell hit a local home of shinwari tribesman here in Landikotal on Saturday morning. Local sources said. According to details Two mortar shells were fired from nearby mountains from alleged militants targeting security forces Packets which hit a local resident’s home in Khuga Khel area killing a person Identified as Rasheed(30) s/o of Alam Shinwari when he was in his bedroom. Sources said that another mortar shell filled down in Shekhaan area which did not cause any lose of life or property. Security forces in Landikotal retaliated and fired on the suspected mountains peaks where they believed the presence of alleged militants. Due to the heavy cross firing of security forces ,it caused fear and anxiety among the locals. All the private and government schools were shut down to avoid any casualty. Security forces sources said that militants fired mortar shells from the mountains for targeting the Army Garrison which they missed and hit the near by tribesman home. It merits mentioning here that no group of has claimed the responsibility for the mortar attack.
