SUBJECT: YOUR AMBIVALENCE IN RE HOMOSEXUAL AFFAIRS

As a member of the First Presidency of the LDS Church, you along with your co- counselor signed a letter directed to Salt Lake attorney Patrick Shea  at my request in early 1993 affirming Mr. Shea’s assertion that he had been retained by the First Presidency of the church to represent the church on the issue of  allegations of Q-type sexual behavior on the part of church president Gordon B. Hinckley some years earlier when he had been first ordained as an apostle/church president-in-waiting in the mid to late 1960’s.The allegations were made in a 3 minute segment of a video by Jeremiah Films of Hemet California called the God Makers II, released in the fall of 1992.

Prior to that request for assurance that indeed Mr. Shea did have authority to represent the church, you and your co-counselor had caused a notice of non truth in the allegations

made in the video to be circulated through out the world in a Notice to Mission Presidents, Stake Presidents, Ward Bishops and Counselors.  That notice specifically stated that the church had retained a non-Mormon attorney who had investigated the allegations made in the video finding no truth and further that a recanting of testimonies had been made by those individuals who had made the allegations live on camera. I had been aware of the notice as informed by my friends within the church prior to receiving  knowledge that Mr. Shea by letter had requested that the principals of the video withdraw the video from distribution with a thinly veiled threat they would be sued if they failed to do so

As you know, I represented the individuals responsible for the video, Patrick Matriscianna of Jeremiah Films and Ed Decker, leader of “Saints Alive in Jesus”, ofthe greater Seattle area. To make a long story short, it became clear during an exchange with Mr. Shea, that he had not investigated the allegations of the video and further that his assertions that the persons making the allegations had recanted their stories was false. I suggested Mr. Shea proceed with the lawsuit as truth would bury him and his clients. He failed to do so and to this day, the allegations made, while not proven in a court of law, remain as viable as they did on the date that you caused an improper and untruthful notice be distributed to the church world-wide. What you caused said was a deliberate lie to the church members to keep them within the fold despite your covering Gordon Hinckley’s past alleged homosexual/bisexual/pedophilic/adulterous lifestyle.

You did not seek truth or you would have caused a lawsuit be filed and prosecuted to a preponderance of truth. Why didn't you? What you did do was lie to church members and use a lawyer to threaten a lawsuit but more importantly bury and cover the allegations in order to keep the sanctity of the hierarchy of the church above reproach.

Mr. Monson, I worked for the church for a short period after I returned from a mission in the UK in the early 1950’s. I know first hand of the dishonesty and skullduggery that transpires

within the hallowed walls of the Marble palace at 47 East South Temple.

Recently, in collusion with the Arch Bishop of San Francisco, you were responsible for an expenditure of some 70 million dollars both pro and con spent on Proposition 8 in order to deny the status of civil marriage to gay people considering gay lifestyle to be deviant and perverse. Yet you lie to your own followers about the same lifestyle enjoyed by your predecessor causing that his memory be filled with the highest spiritual accoladesWhen in fact it was no better than those you look down on and would deny civil rights to.

While failure to do so is not fully understood. But be sure there will be a price to pay! That demand starts with you and your counselors as well as all in the chain below you. The God of the Cosmos sees in secret and it would best to confess and cease to feel that a “called” position offers you and your chin of command protection or redemption for a closeted life choice by your openly working against the interests of those who are similarly but openly oriented.

Sometime soon, a legal crusade will commence for wrongful death of a myriad of young gay men who were so dehumanized by elders of the church for their sexual orientation that they committed suicide. It would be best for you and your counselors to order that all further war against gay and lesbian members of the church immediately cease and for the church to disengage itself from any further persecution in any manner whatsoever.
