Opening lines of communication - Arab to Hamas
Israel might object, but the communications channel with Hamas must be open, as well as with Fatah. This is a natural and responsible role for the senior Arab official. Moussa might well pay a visit to Israel too, don’t you think?
It is well past time to work it out. Egypt is surely being responsible too. They know the trouble with Hamas. They don’t want that spreading to Egypt.
“Arab League chief Amr Moussa in first visit to Gaza It is the first visit from a senior Arab official since 2007 The Head of the Arab League is visiting the Gaza Strip, the first senior Arab official to do so since the Islamist militant group Hamas took over in 2007. Amr Moussa's visit is partly intended to add to pressure on Israel to end its Gaza blockade, correspondents say. Nine people were killed when Israeli troops boarded an aid flotilla trying to break the blockade on 31 May. Israel and Egypt have held a tightened blockade on Gaza since Hamas seized control of the Palestinian territory. Mr Moussa's trip will also be aimed at trying to heal a rift between Hamas and Fatah, who control the West Bank. "This blockade which we are all here to confront must be broken and the position of the Arab League is clear," Mr Moussa said as he was met by Palestinian leaders at the Rafah crossing with Egypt. Following the flotilla raid, Egypt opened its border with Gaza allowing people with valid passes to cross. Egypt has said the crossing will remain open "indefinitely". 'Unsustainable' Mr Moussa is scheduled to meet with the leaders of Hamas, as well as other factions in the territory. Analysis Tim Franks, BBC News, Jerusalem Amr Moussa's visit carries significance on two levels. It is intended to add to the growing international pressure for Israel to lift its blockade of Gaza - a blockade which Israel argues is necessary to preserve security, but whose rationale and effects on the people of Gaza is, elsewhere, widely opposed. Mr Moussa's appearance in Gaza also extends a hand to Hamas - an Islamist movement the Arab League has up to now preferred to keep at arm's length. There will be further talk now of trying to broker reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah - the two main, bitterly divided Palestinian factions. But there is also some back-covering here: Arab diplomats are well aware that in recent times some of the most vocal support for Gaza has come from two countries not in the Arab League - Turkey and Iran. He is also expected to meet local businessmen and non-governmental organisations during the 10-hour trip.”

Opening line of communication with Hamas is definetly not going to bring about any change in the current situation, the reasons are well known-Arabs,especially Egypt, close ally of Israel, may pretend not to know what they know very well.
Hamas is a creation of Isreal.Way back a report stated:"The thinking on the part of some of the right-wing Israeli establishment was that Hamas and other groups,if they gained control, would refuse to have any thing to do with the peace process and would torpedo any agreements put in place".This report contained elements of truth and only truth.
Fatah was a secular and moderate organisation, wanted peace with Israel. But Israel has had plans which were opposed to any move which could settle the Isreal/Palestine issue and deter expansion plans of the Zionists.Arafat was centre of attack and accused of not cracking down on terrorists.Arafat is no longer relevant, declared Sharon in 2001.Arafat's HQ was surrounded by Israeli tanks and where Yasser Arafat was imprisoned for five months.
Hamas must change its track like PLO.Israel is a reality, must be accepted. If Arab leadership really wants peace established in that region, it must put enormous pressure on Hamas to offer a peace propsal.Israel's response would either put peace process back on track or expose Zinonists' plot.

You were to doing so fine t k kidai until you just couldnt help yourself with demonizing Israel as a Zionist plot. If everyone agreed, Fatah and Hamas to cease its belligerency and desire to destroy Israel peace would be welcomed in a flash in Israel. The people here want peace and they vote.
If only you could get rid of your heart felt poison about Zion, Zionists, Jews and Israelis you just might have something to say. Ooops I forgot Zionism has nothing to do with Jews or Judaism. BTW, I have a bridge to sell you.
