Opinion Survey" Most Surveys & Polls Useless!

Do you ever wonder who pays for Surveys and Polls? Sometimes Governments e.g. You the Taxpayer!, or Advertisers e.g. You the Consumer!

Eventually, through years and years of world travel, asking my Mom, reading "News of the World", and watching Oprah, my survey has found Surveys and Polls are utterly useless!

This Survey Story below by Salary.com cements my case that once again "Useless Information for the Masses". Why? Well if no one is going to cut a cheque to Moms for their domestic work, what is the point of saying Moms should be paid 126K a year? You might as well state Moms should be paid a "Billion Dollars a year" for all the good it will do Moms.

Moms do it for Free! Thats what a Mom is, a Mom. Motherhood was never meant to be a Business transaction! Moms do important work everyone knows that, it is a Moot Point! That is what Mothers Day is all about, though everyday should be Mothers Day, after all anyone alive today at one time has/had a Mom!

Perhaps this useless bit of Survey info accomplishes one thing, dissention in the family ranks. Mom vs Dad contests, who knows, one thing I do know is Kids need both parents, both equally as valuable. Responsibilities didn't end with Conception, though many Mom and Dads think so, judging by homeless children walking our streets.

It may also enact scintillating Water Cooler idiotic gossip on a slow News day.

I have heard over the years Inane Banter on Radio shows, where hosts on call in shows looking for something to talk about, pick up the "Soup Ladle of Justice" for Stay at Home Moms and remind them they should be Millionaires if their work were salaried.

Maybe it is just me, but why conduct a Survey for a Surveys Sake? Especially if nothing is ever going to be done about it anyways.

If it were up to me, I would have "Family Day", celebrating Mom, Dad, Brothers and Sisters. Hell, while we are at it, why not throw Grandma and Grandad into the mix too, after all, without them the rest of the family and future generations wouldn't exist anyways.

For the many roles they play as housekeepers, chefs and chief executive officers, stay-at-home mothers in Canada would earn about $126,593 a year if they were on a company payroll, a Mother's Day study says.

The annual study, now in its eighth year, was conducted by Salary.com, a Massachusetts-based company that assesses workplace compensation. The study said that moms who work outside the home, meanwhile, would be paid $74,101 for their home and family responsibilities in addition to their work salaries, the company said. Their at-home pay would be less because they spend fewer hours working in the home.

By comparison, the study found that American mothers who work in the home would earn $116,805 US and mothers who work outside the home would receive $68,406 US. In 2007, the study found that stay-at-home dads in the U.S. would be paid an annual salary of $128,755 and working fathers would earn about $72,082.

Ah, what they don't tell you is that maybe they should have a paycut ' if they're caught 'skiving' like sitting on the park sunbathing, watching TV all morning, going for a swim or nattering in coffee mornings:-) Another paycut if they dump their kids in a creche and even bigger one if the kids are sent to boarding school...:-)

Wonderful Hard Working Mums.. some are, but some are downright lousy and certainly don't deserve all that money. Some give spend the 'child maintenance' on themselves for a start.... the list is endless.

Thanks for the comments Beaulieu, takes all kinds I suppose, bottom line Moms are Moms for the most part because they want to be, hence Motherhood was never meant to be a Business Transaction or Union Label.
