Opinion: What's The World To Defend When Everyone Claimed Peace?
What have these in common?
Pakistan-Esrael / China-Tibet / North KOrea-South Korea / Catholic-Muslim
All these have their individual thoughts of having the claim to have peace! The whole world is listening but still why we cant acheived it? And why is there a need to terrorized?
Many are living in pain, fear and anguish brought by the war between these countries. They wanted to be divided and claim what they think what "LIBERTY" or "FREEDOM" is. But what is there to be worth fighting for? When there are many civilians being taken away from their families and homes?
On The other hand, the United Nations have been very "BUSY" to convinced us that they are one of the peace keeping bodies since this organization was established. But why since then we have not experienced a total peace?
While the USA send troops to " RESCUE" when there are wars around their neighbor countries. But how would you classify such endeavor when "EVERYONE" claimed that they are the ONE to rescue and peacemakers but in fact are being misunderstood by the other parties who defined peace/freedom in different views?
According to the ff articles below, "PEACE" is defined as:
"If everyone demanded peace instead of another television set, then there would be peace."John Lennon
If there must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.Thomas Paine
In the light of his vision he has found his freedom: his thoughts are peace, his words are peace and his work is peace. The Dhammapada
Peace cannot be achieved through violence, it can only be attained through understanding.Albert Einstein

pinkberry143, I like this story. It's good stuff.
Good issue and subject of discussion! Very delicate and volatile as well!
Now I would say this post needs some more elaboration and maybe analyse!
However It is a great subject and in dyer need of debate, there for I give you my two cents worth of opinion and reflection on the issues you propose here!
1) The Freedom of the one does start where the freedom of the other ends and the freedom of the other starts where the freedom of the one ends, freedom is an illusion! (Voltaire)
2) Freedom is a razor thin sword on wish we have to balance Justice and equality as well as rights and duty! (Uwe Paschen)
3) The right to express one self or to practice once believe can only be justified as long as this practice or expression does not infringe or other peoples right and ability to do the same!
4) the detour to all rights and privileges is hard work and honesty, compassion and tolerance! (Wili Brandt)
5) We need to learn, practice and advocate, tolerance and compassion as well as learn to show respect and do our duty before asking for privileges!
Nice post, interesting subject! Thank you!

The philosophy of rights and of the state has been developed at length for thousands of years, yet remains incomplete. One problem is that we view the state as just another person with a psychology like our human psychology. However, the psychology of the state, if it has a mind at all, does not resemble the psychology of humans in any way. Thus we say Russia is behaving aggressively in Georgia or China is proud of the Olympics when these are only weak analogies to human behavior. It is good to bring this up, though, since it might attract someone to study philosophy and finally write the proper Critique of the State.

Your right but i think we have to modify the definition of "rights and freedom" since everyone would like to enjoy having it around..The minds with different culture and beliefs set their own meaning

I agree with you here pinkberry143! Now I am curious though, what would you suggest the definition should be?
I am writing a post about that as a matter of facts and wonder what others would say if we redefined Freedom and to what?

Kabayan!!! Pinkberry143, I'm happy that you open this interesting 'opinion'...I've the speech of the Saudi King;
King Abdullah, Custodian of the two Holy Mosques, twice received a standing ovation, at the opening af the three-day "World Conference on Dialogue," Madrid, Spain, in which he called for "constructive dialogue" to end disputes amongst the world's major religions.
"We believe in one God...We are meeting here today to say that religions should be a means to iron out differences and not lead to disputes," the King said.
"My brothers, we must tell the world that differences don't need to lead to disputes," "The tragedies we have experienced throughout history were not the fault of religion but because of the extremism that has been adopted by some followers of all the religions." "To succed we must emphasize the common link between us which is a belief in God," King said.
"A man could be a cause for the destruction of this planet and he is also capable of turning it into an oasis of peace and tranquillity where followers of all religions, doctrines and philosophies can cooperate with each other with respect and solve their problems with dialogue and not violence." A man is capable of depeating hatred with love, and extremism with tolerance." the King said.
The conference is organized by the Muslim World League (MWL) from the initiative by King Abdullah.

danesller, thanks to that contribution, behind the world's dispute was caused by the diff. culture, ideology, religion and political will. Not knowing that we just wanted to have peace and experience to live a life without war and killings. But what really is the root of all evil?
