It never seems to amaze me that these so call mothers in SATX always have some type of unexcused reasons for there behavior once they have done, or allowed someone to kill there babies, or children. Its either a boyfriend with no relations to the child, whom they want so desperately or they kill there babies because the man don't want them or the babies. Then all of a sudden they have all these mental issues, that no one seems to notice until they have done something as gruesome as this. My question of the day is what did this 3 week old baby do, most likely asleep to make this idiot do what she did?

  There was more to the story than this article said.  She ate part of the baby's brain and she ate parts of the body. This is more than postpartum. All I can think is the seperation from the babies father finally flipped the switch. My question is why no one heard the screaming of the baby or mother. Surely she did not do all this in silence and her mother was home. I thank god her other children were not awake to witness. This is a case where despite mental condition I still believe she should get the death pentalty or put in with inmates that will take are of her like Jeffery Daumer. 

       And this is in no way an example of ppl in San Antonio it is an example of a very sick person.

he doesnt...he/she post that on every site where he/she thinks someone will notice and visit his/her hate sites...ive seen it...its really sad!  you can clearly see that someone has too much time on their hands...I think maybe he/she had tried the Jehovah witness thing and got angry at someone now he/she has dedicated their life to telling everyone else how bad they are.

as for the mother i think its really sad!  i think there had to have been signs..if not of a mental illness then of the drug use.

This is the saddest story that heard I have ever.  

San Antonio does has a high rate for child neglect, this being one of many.  I wonder why a social worker didn't meet with her to make sure she was stable.  My guess is that she did not disclose this to her. 

I do think that it is important that they investigate the JW church as well to get a better understanding of the situation.  There is alot of pressure in that church.  It sound as though she was in good standing but I know that they look down on having babies out of wedlock.  They play the guilt card pretty well sometimes causing families to disown their own. She clearly cracked under pressure.

Just sentence her and put her to death. You think she'll ever be a fully heal;thy member of society again? She deserves no help and not another day on this Earth. Sentence her and carry it out the next day...no appeals, no this or that...she's guilty and she deserves nothing but death. Put her down and let God take over from there. Unbeleivable...this woman...ugh...goddamn her.

The mother was being treated for schizophrenia, a condition she had before giving birth.  Father has mental health issues also (according to news reports).  From one news report, it sounded like she WAS trying to get help by constantly bringing the baby to her sister that day.  Instead of getting help, the sister waited until she calmed down and gave her back the baby.  That's when the murder occurred.  There were a lot of things that could/should have been done before this child was born that would have likely prevented such a horrible outcome.  Bottom line, true, it wasn't postpartum, it sounds like it was postpartum pychosis, which is incredibly worse than baby blues or postpartum depression (mild, moderate and severe).  It is very tragic and sad, but all the people calling for her to get the death penalty need to calm down and wait until all the facts come out.  When she is coherent and lucid, she will remember, and she will have to live with this for the rest of her life.  She needs serious treatment, and I think she should get herself sterilized so she cannot have any more children.
