Our Impending War with Islamic Countries

When i say "our" i mean American. Watch the trailer for Restrepo.. Right now, America is waging a 'cold war' with Islamic nations. i suppose we started it by supporting Israel and confirmed it with Afghanistan and Iraq. Islamic countries are poised against America. They hate us and will do everything in their power to destroy us. When i say "us", i mean the American government. The only thing that may avert or delay them is our technology and 'American spirit'. The reason i put that in quotes is because it's not the healthiest nor true American spirit which drives our troops abroad. If you watch the trailer, you realize our soldiers 'get high' from the thrill and status of being an 'American warrior'. i have compassion for them as i do all meddlers in violence. But i cannot have compassion for the ego-fest which pushed them there in the first place .. War with Islam is unavoidable - the way we've set it up. It's only a matter of time before they launch a full-out attack against us - or we them. i don't believe it will happen as soon as 2012, but i'd put the date for sure - before 2050.

The only true way to avert WWIII (the war to end all wars) is to put an extreme pacifist, and have him followed, as Western leader. Then, he would have to make a personal visit to an Islamic consortium and sign a Real peace treaty in blood (his own blood preferably). Of course, many Westerners would label him the Beast because of his 'betrayal' of the West.

We would kill him and his follower would declare WWIII anyways (the real Beast). Why? Too many Americans feel we are morally justified to wage war on any front we choose - because we feel we're morally superior in our 'democracy'. Similarly, Muslims feel they're morally superior because they follow 'the perfect human system' (Islam). The planet is running out of resources to exploit and so we're scrambling to grab the last available. This creates a pressure-cooker of a situation which can only explode.

My ex informs me southern Thailand is under Islamic attack. She says they're incredibly well connected and financed. She says the Jihadists don't want global awareness of the situation because their efforts may be stalled or temporarily nullified. But be sure they will not give up - EVER. Islam is the only religion with a mandate to conquer. Let me repeat that so you can understand: Islam is the only religion in the world with a requirement to conquer and subdue.

So if anyone says "Islam is a peaceful religion", they're LYING. If you read their 'holy book', you find out exactly what i say above.

Look at the cycle of American presidents: Bush to Obama; warmonger to 'pacifist'. (You should know why i put that in quotes.) Bully to peace-lover. But it cannot last.. Things always go in cycles. The more pacific a leader is there, be sure his follower will be that much more violent. If we had Gandhi as president, he would be assassinated and his follower would be the Beast for sure. It's the cycling of history..

i'm not trying to incite violence with this essay .. i'm trying to make us all aware of the reality we've created on this insane pressure-cooker we call Earth. Even if we 'take off the lid' (relieve the pressure) with understanding, we still need to make a sincere effort on both sides to create lasting peace through the prime values i write about in other essays. Realistically, with the arrogance on both sides presently, we're doomed. Goodbye and 'good luck' Earth. 8|

I know many Muslims and live and work with them in my community and treat them as I do all others. Yet, I know some are suspicious of me, and I declare I am suspicious of some of them. What is the source of this behavior?

They know that I am allegiant to my country and to the Constitution. I am strongly in favor of individual freedom and liberty. I am not a religious person, though I enjoy spirituality that comes with being human. As you point out, I have read the Koran and know its historical creation. In context with how man created all other religions, I understand its competitive position.

Religions pit humans against humans vying for their beliefs being special and superior.

My Constitution settles this by permitting people to hold their beliefs but their allegiance and loyalty in America comes to the Constitution first, subordinating religious faith to a common higher standard of tolerance and respect for individuals.

I suspect that some Muslim brothers may have mouthed allegiance to the Nation, though their inner allegiance is to their religion and therein is the conflict.

Separation between church and state is an important principal. To be a Muslim American, at least, is a matter of managing allegiances.

In the international community, there are nation states based on Islam. That is unacceptable in my book and that is the basis of a battle that need not be open warfare, unless we are fighting over scarce resources and cannot find a peaceful means for trade exchange.

That is my perspective.

YJ.I always apperciate your views based on objectivity.Religion has caused more bloodshed than any other ideology or 'ism' in this world. There two basic problems with all religions:one, cryptic and metaphorical text of the scriptures;two,a beleif that only true religion is the one which I follow. The first one leaves every scripture open to various interpretations, sometimes contradictory and conflicting. The second one is more dangerous. It drives followers to warpath,to establish supremacy of their faith.Faith is purely a matter between man and his Creator, call it God or Allah or Brahama. Then there is chain of prophets, each one with a different revealed message, different commandments and forms of worship to confound the confusion.

Use of religion for political purposes defeated the very purpose religions were created for.Now what we find is ostentatious display of fake religiosity, form without content.Muslim kings and dictators and rulers used religion to further their own agenda. What Marx said centuries later, religion is opiate for the masses,They knew it without saying. Now rulers, professing any faith, use religion to deflect attention of the masses from real issues, burning problem. To supress mass progressive movements, religion is used as most effective tool.Rise of all sorts of fundamentalism is result of that.Islam in danger, more Jesus less government, conspiracy to subjugate Hinduism kind of slogans are latest examples.Yet we have to realize that religions are for men,men are not for religions.Whose survival is at stake?

In what war are we fighting a Islamic nation. We are not at war with Iraq. We are not at war with Afghanistan. We are not at war with any nation. Both wars are in defense of nations right to self determination. In both wars we are fighting extremism and totalitarianism that denies individual rights and freedoms. If we were fighting Islamic Nations the goal would be to eradicate Islam. Our intention and those of the UN is not anti-Islamic. Iraq remains an Islamic State. Afghanistan remains an Islamic State. Both supported by the world in their effort to sustain democratic freedoms. Those who claim their terrorist/authoritarian actions are in defense of Islam are usurping both the religion and the peoples religious belief to perpetuate an aggressive and violent negation of individual rights and freedoms.

I also must disagree with the stated premise upon which this article seems to be based ( as stated again below )

"Right now, America is waging a 'cold war' with Islamic nations. i suppose we started it by supporting Israel and confirmed it with Afghanistan and Iraq. Islamic countries are poised against America. They hate us and will do everything in their power to destroy us."

First, the U.S. not at war with Islam or any Islamic nation. Support for Israel doesn't mean we don't also support Islamic Nations.

Afghanistan and Iraq had nothing to do with them being Arab or Islamic. It was issue's of nation security in that region.

Islamic countries, several which are allies or allied with the U.S. aren't specifically poised against America national security interest.

This discussion of 'hate' is an abstract and undefined emotion in the context of national security. You could argue some Americans hate America, or N. Korea hates So. Korea and America. It means nothing without policy and action as in Al Qaeda hates America_not Islam hates America

my best friend at uni in Carolina was a devout sweet Muslim young man from Jordan. i was shocked to hear from him that Hussein was never locally seen as a tyrant or oppressor. quite the contrary, he was regionally admired. so the American invasion of Iraq was strategic and aimed at furthering our interests and foothold there. he also told me our support of Israel was viewed by Islamic nations as a direct affront toward them. he joked that America was controlled by powerful Jews but hinted at the serious side of that statement. my only serious problem with him was his devotion to all Muslim principles including murder for defection. of course, he did not see it like that.. he saw it as a betrayal of faith. so for anyone to say we went into Iraq to 'liberate' them is deluding themselves. we went into Iraq because Hussein threatened Bush Sr. and American strategic position in the region. our 'cover story' that we were liberating Iraqis from tyranny is a boldface lie. the sooner we can admit the truth of these kind of actions, the sooner we can move toward a true global civilization based on prime values.

Alqaeda doesn't represent even a small percentage of Muslims, what Alqaeda represents is anti-American feelings.Since Osama bin Laden was a creation of an empire. How he was indoctrinated is past, and thus irrelavant. But Osama,a lunkheaded idiot like Saudi monarchs, never thought that by bringing in religion against atheist Russians,he will lose sympathies of all those who hated, and till date hate,American empire cutting across all national boundries, faiths ect.Secondly,it didn't occur to his mind that what were real motives of saudis behind this newly found love for Afghans.Afghans were not neo-Muslims,whose conversion to Islam took place as soon as Soviet troops landed in Afghanistan.Saudi Arabia with her coffers full with petrodollars never came forward to help improvished Afghans. Why this all-at-sudden change of Saudi hearts(as they have no minds)? He never took pains to read writing on the wall.Rest is known history.American-Saudi version and progressive version, former appeals to bellicose cahuvinism, later to reason.

Osama bin Laden said, "“We love death. The US loves life. That is the difference between us two.” It is a profound difference. The Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in August 1990 had put the Kingdom and its ruling House of Saud at risk. The world's most valuable oil fields were within easy striking distance of Iraqi forces in Kuwait, and Saddam's call to pan-Arab/Islamism could potentially rally internal dissent. In the face of a seemingly massive Iraqi military presence, Saudi Arabia's own forces were well armed but far outnumbered. Bin Laden offered the services of his mujahideen to King Fahd to protect Saudi Arabia from the Iraqi army. The Saudi monarch refused bin Laden's offer, opting instead to allow U.S. and allied forces to deploy troops into Saudi territory.[75] The deployment angered Bin Laden, as he believed the presence of foreign troops in the "land of the two mosques" (Mecca and Medina) profaned sacred soil. After speaking publicly against the Saudi government for harboring American troops, he was banished and forced to live in exile in Sudan. ... This is the root of Osama bin Laden's anti-Americanism. American help rather than his. An American base instead of his. So obsessed he even named his militant organization The Base [al-Qaeda].

"He(Gen.Douglas MacArthur) described the difference between the attitude towards death of Westerners and Orientals. We hate to die;only face danger out of sense of duty and through moral issues;whereas with Orientals, life begins with death. They die quitely, folding their arms as a dove folding his wings, relaxing and dying."-Memoirs by Harry S.Truman, volume 2.

please read the War for Meaning available on Scribd .. it's Good to have these intellectual equivalents of fencing matches .. it's very Good to challenge each other intellectually and dispute each other's 'facts' .. but i believe the underlying currents (forces) are actually Satanic. it may sound arrogant (i'm Sure it sounds arrogant), but i believe God is behind all creative inspiration and Satan is behind all destructive inspiration. ANYthing that separates us (from each other or God) has Satanic roots. ANYthing that joins us together or promotes global love comes from God. so we can spend eternity fighting about details and agendas but while we do - Satan's laughing .. he feeds off of strife and struggle .. he's the Ultimate Asshole. so please read the War for Meaning and realize it's not just science he manipulates - but also human politics etc .. and above. please, i beg you all, please don't be a pawn in Satan's army (by continually fighting with each other about trivial details) .. Realize we're all being manipulated .. and give God a chance in your heart - that's all i'm asking..
