Ousted President Zelaya took plane to Honduras but could not land
Updates: After a meeting with Presidents from Argentina, Ecuador and Paraguay at El Salvador, the ousted Honduran Head of State Manuel Zelaya asked the army to stop inflicting violence on his countrymen. In addition, Zelaya stated he would be travelling to the US to meet American Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, to further discuss the ongoing crisis in Honduras. It also emerged there was an American airport near Tegucigalpa. However, The fact that his government did not offer it to President Zelaya for safe landing today provoked serious doubts over the Obama`s real stand on Honduras. Furthermore, notorious CIA agent Billy Fernando Joya Amendolahas been hired by the Honduran tyranny for security policy. And the current US Ambassador to Honduras, Hugo Llorens, was in charged of the Venezuelan desk during the attempted coup against President Chavez in 2002. The American official in charge of the American Airport near Tegucigalpa participated in the kidnapping of Haiti President Aristide during 2004.
Later today, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega also denied his country was sending troops to the common border with Honduras. He stated such comments were a strategy of the dictatorship in Honduras to shift the attention from the current crisis.
After various attempts, a Venezuelan plane taking both Honduran Head of State, Manuel Zelaya, and the President of the UN General Assembly, Miguel D`Escoto, could not land at the Toncontin Airport in Tegucigalpa. Military forces prevented it from landing and asked the plane to leave at once. Despite having issued a detention order against President Zelaya, the Honduran tyranny did not allow him to enter the country and confront the "legal proceeding" that justified his outing. This action further deteriorates the internatiional stand of the tyranny and its attempt to legalize the coup.
Speaking from the plane, President Zelaya expressed his intention to return to Honduras by any available means. He also stated there was an ongoin rebelion in his country. Then, Zelaya asked the US to help restitute democracy to his country. Zelaya also asked the local Catholic Church to prevent further violations of Human Rights.
The Plane carrying Zelaya is now aiming at Nicaragua. Then, it is expected to fly to El Salvador. President Zelaya will coordinate with his counterparts from Argentina, Ecuador and Paraguay to discuss further actions within the article 21 of the OAS Democratic Charter.
Violence erupted at the Tegucigalpa Toncontin airport as President Zelaya flies the country. The tyranny has exercised the coercive force at the landing space of the airport. Some pro Zelaya demonstrators have been injured. Two are reported dead. International Red Cross ambulance have been located at the airport. During a Telesur interview on a Venezuelan plane flying over Honduras , President Zelaya stated his worries over the tyranny coercive methods. He also called for calm and confirmed his intention to return to restore peace to his country.
As the plane taking President Zelaya approaches Honduras, the pressure of the tyranny grows unbereable. In an interview to international press, dictactor Roberto Micheletti and advisors rejected the suspension from OAS. They informed of their willing to negotiate and postpone the arrival of President Zelaya once normality has been restored. Dictator Micheletti called for schools to open on Monday and officals to return to their posts. However, he did not confirmed rumours about the growing discontent among business sectors that initially backed his coup. Neither, did he clarify who elected him to the post. Micheletti just stated he did not accept pressures from anyone. Thus, some have interpreted such answer as a confirmation that the Tyranny no longer counts with the backing of strong media and business men but the army. It is uncertain whether the army is a solid power behind the tyranny or will split once Zelaya arrives in Honduras.
The Tyranny representatives also confirmed that Nicaraguan army is gathering in the common border with Honduras. There is a growing presence of people backing Zelaya in Tegucigalpa.
Caracas, Venezuela, 5 July 2009. Ousted Honduran President, Manuel Zelaya, has initiated his trip back home a week after his removal from power. Before taking a plane to Tegucigalpa, President Zelaya asked Hondurans to remain calm and wait for his arrival without resorting to violence. In reaction to his intended return, the Honduran tyranny - led by Roberto Micheletti - decided to block the landing of his plane. It is uncler how it would prevent the plane from landing though. Military personnel is protecting the Tegucigalpa airport.
After early morning negotiations, it was decided there would be two planes travelling on this mission according to article 21 of the OAS Democratic Charter. One plane will take the Honduran Head of State, Manuel Zelaya, to Tegucigalpla. Ousted Zelaya will be travelling with the the President of the UN General Assembly, Miguel D`Scotto.
Another plane will travel to San Salvador to take the Presidents of Argentina, Ecuador and Paraguay to negotiate for the democratic return in Honduras. These Latin American Heads of State will be accompanied by the OAS General Secretary. They will continue the diplomatic efforts to reinstall the Honduran President.
It is not certain where will President Zelaya will land in Honduras. There are various airports where he could enter the country. Pro Zelaya demonstrators have gathered near the Tegucigalpa Airport while the tyranny military has movilised to control their marching path.

Thanks. Could you please so kind as to verify why Ifcastro comments to my story do not reach my mailbox? May I also ask you to verify why the headlines of my story on Honduras changed without my consent? Oddly, my last week report on the ongoing coup against President Zelaya was changed to a title used by other formal media. I already reported this to Amyjudd. You may contact her too.
Regarding a question posed on rankings at NP, it just looks odd to climb from forty something to first place on few days. Of course, first place ranking does not mean opinions and views are right. It just means they are popular among certain readers at a particular time.
