Out of body experience-missed the news
No news
It was Friday night and I am tired of cooking all of the meals. So, I called her at work and asked, “Can we go out for dinner?” She said that would be fine and in the end, I got to chose my favorite place. After waving off Hell Burger and Five Guys for health reasons, it came down to Facial Luna (pizza and misto salad) or Boulevard Woodfire Grill. Boulevard won.
I had a peppy day, though decided to sit in my chair and rest a bit before walking 1.5 miles to Clarendon to meet for dinner. I fell asleep in my chair and by the time that I awoke it was nearly time to leave.
The weather was enormously hot and sunny. I took a quick shower and decided to drive or I would be late. I stopped at the bank and between the car and the bank lobby experienced a wonderful breeze in the air. It must be cooling off, I thought.
I drove the restaurant, parked, walked from the car and observed once again the fine breeze and wonderful weather. It would be a pleasant evening.
I met my honey at the table and ordered ribeye steak gorgonzola and she had mahi mahi fish tacos. We topped it off with a cinnamon cake topped with coffee ice cream and whipped cream. So much for the diet. I could have had Five Guys hamburgers, I thought.
Afterward, stuffed to the gills, we walked to the car, noting once again the fine breeze and gentile air.
At home again, I paid a visit to my flowers and watered them. I closed the drapes and then everything stopped, apparently. I went to bed and read this story this morning about the weather in Arlington last night. While I live on the beat, I could not verify that any of the following report actually happened.
A tree fell, and I was not there to see it.

ARLINGTON, Va. - Thunderstorms rolled into our area Tuesday night, toppling trees, halting trains and knocking out power.
We received reports of downed trees in Arlington and Washington D.C. In D.C., a tree came crashing down on cars at Connecticut Avenue and Q St. NW just north of Dupont Circle. The enormous, old tree may have been termite infested but whatever the reason, it was not able to sustain the impact of the strong winds Tuesday night. It split at the trunk and it's branches fell onto a row of cars. Several of the cars sustained a lot of damage.”
OH! WAIT A MINUTE -- THIS IS TUESDAY'S NEWS. THE TREE FELL ON TUESDAY, NOT FRIDAY. GOOD GRIEF.
