Buenos Aires (ANTARA News/Xinhua) - More than 6,300 kg of marijuana have been captured in Argentina, the biggest seizure of the drugs so far, local media reported Friday.

A truck carrying 230 sackcloth bags of marijuana was found on Thursday during a vehicular control in the northeastern province of Misiones.

No arrests were reported as the truck, apparently from Paraguay, was abandoned 1,000 meters away from the check point, police said.

It was the largest seizure of marijuana in Argentine history and the biggest drug capture during the year, according to a police spokesman.
