More unfortunate news concerning the Taco Del Mar restaurant explosion and fire in Vancouver, B.C.
The owner of a Vancouver restaurant destroyed in a suspected arson attack has committed suicide, police said Sunday.
On a side note, authorities mentioned that the explosive device consisted of an air/fuel component.
"The
explosion was an air/fuel explosion. I can't tell you what type of
accelerant was used. There's a lot of forensic work to be done.
Which is the same principle in accidental combustible dust explosions at plants, facilities, and refineries
And every
year, many serious explosions and fires occur in industrial plants as a
result of dust. Many materials form dust clouds that can easily ignite
and explode, injuring personnel and damaging plant. This is a
well-known phenomenon in the coal mining, grain storage, and the
woodworking and paper industries.
Viewing pictures that were recently contributed to  this article, there is an eery resemblance to the the destruction that occurred at the recent Georgia sugar refinery. Yet on a smaller scale. Fuel-air mixtures are extemely destructive in numerous environments.

Hi Cynthia

Thanks, What really caught my attention, is mention by the police that a fuel-air device was used to create the explosion.

I figured how odd especially since we recently had a huge explosion here in the U.S. at the Imperial Sugar Refinery in Georgia that was caused by the lethal mixture of fuel-air.  This is really dangerous stuff. In fact the U.S. military utilizes fuel-air bombs in the thermobaric bombs.

 Regards.
