An anti-abortion activist was shot and killed in front of a group of terrified teenagers near Owosso High School, Michigan, and another man was fatally shot at a business in a neighboring community. The two shootings are believed to be related incidents.

The shooter who shot Jim Pouillon, the anti-abortionist, is believed to have stolen the deceased man's car and drove to Owosso High School. A suspect was later taken into custody about 45 minutes after the shooting. No students were injured. After the incident happened, the Ellementary, Middle, and Alternative Ed school were immediately locked down, but have been reopened. The high school is releasing students if parents come and sign students out.

Pouillon was well-known for his pro-life activities in the city ofwosso.  He often stood in very visible areas with large graphic anti-abortion signs.  The interim superintendent,SusanWooden, says he was also well known at the High School where he would stand most mornings while students walked into school.

A black car could be seen close to the school where a portable oxygen tank was lying in a front yard next to a large sign bearing the image of a baby and the word 'Life'.

Owosso is about 25 miles west of Flint and 70 miles northwest of Detroit.
