Pacific Sun Cruise Ship in Heavy Seas: CCTV Video
CCTV Footage from Pacific Sun Cruise Ship: Passengers Hurt, Furniture and Heavy Machinery Thrown in Heavy Seas
CCTV video of a cruise ship in heavy seas was posted on LiveLeak. According to the post, the video shows CCTV footage from inside the Pacific Sun cruise ship. The footage is apparently from when the Pacific Sun encountered a storm off the coast of New Zealand.
The first half of the video shows an eating and bar area as tables, chairs and passengers are hurled from side to side: you can see several people getting injured by sliding tables and chairs, as well as by getting slammed into columns.
The second half of the video is even more disturbing: footage of the ship's warehouse, where heavy machinery is tossed around like toys. Nothing is secured to the deck.
P&O offered passengers a 25% discount on their next cruise- no word on if any of those offers have been redeemed.

Injuries included broken ribs and limbs, a fractured pelvis, a broken collar bone, and cuts and gashes. P&O denied reports that some people had lost fingers.

One passenger said the water lashed as high as the fifth deck. Many of the worst injuries were caused when gambling machines crashed over on top of people.
