On the walls of the bomb shelter, someone decided to paint characters from different stories to make it more pleasant for those passing the time here. These are the original paintings, and have been declared a "historical preservation monument" along with the rest of the site.

While it's not known how many people would have stayed in this 6 room bomb shelter (there would have been benches along the walls and in rows - no beds) it was used as a "public" evacuation shelter for those living in the area and also for those stationed at the airbase.

To the left of the painting, you can see a "window" that would have originally been a steel door which opened inward and went to an escape hatch (3 stories up) to the surface.
