Pak Taliban uses Human Shields.Resists Army Advance

After watching how LTTE successfully used hostages as human shields,Taliban Islamic terrorists who are ferociously battling Pakistani Army too started using this tactic. Pakistani army is trying to wipe out Talibans who had took over Buner district in hundreds from the neighboring SWAT handed over to them to implement sharia law. They have taken 43 para-military constables and 17 policemen as hostages. This makes the Army's efforts to evict the terrorists a bit difficult.
Army spokesman Major General Athar Abbas also said the media should not report anything which jeopardises operational security or the lives of soldiers.
DAGGAR: More than 50 militants have been killed in the ongoing military operation in Buner, military spokesman Major General Athar Abbas told a press conference on Wednesday.
One security official was also killed during the fighting, while 18 Frontier Corps personnel were recovered from the Taliban, Abbas said.
The army is facing stiff resistance in Ambela as militants have taken the area people hostage and are using them as human shields, he said, adding that security forces are trying to avoid collateral damage.
Militants are still occupying three police stations in Buner whereas security forces have destroyed two militant ammunition dumps, he said.
The District Coordination Officer (DCO) was airlifted to Daggar to take control of Buner's administration.
Athar Abbas also said the media should not report anything which jeopardises operational security or the lives of soldiers.
Troops took Daggar, the main town in Buner (60 miles northwest of Islamabad), on Wednesday after being dropped by helicopters behind Taliban lines on the second day of the offensive.

They didn't just start doing this, they've been using civilians all along, taking women and children hostage into their camps and staying in people's homes, using them for their HQ. Undoubtedly why so many civilians are killed.
The women sexually mistreated and both women and children hostage for their families forced cooperation. RAWA.org has many stories about this with horrific photos.

True, but the recent tactics used by LTTE taught the tallies about "commercial value" of hostages in a global scale. Though they are not yet experts in exploiting this (because of obvious lack of education and the absense of a similarly strong propaganda machinery) I am sure tallies will catch up with LTTE very fast in this area. Remember , how fast did they adopted the greatest weapon of a terrorist invented by LTTE - the suicide vest.
This is how knowledge transfer happens between terrorists..!!

But how did they find out? they ban radios and TV satellites, except for their own radio broadcasts of new terrors to come.
