Pakistan arrests four, six hideouts of extremists on Peshawar outskirts destroyed

PESHAWAR: Security forces operation in the outskirts of the provincial capital here continuing unabated, while six hideouts of the extremists were destroyed and four extremists including a key-commander was arrested.

Sources that the security forces targeted the hideouts of the extremists by rockets destroying six of them, while four extremists including the key-commander Ehsanullah was arrested. Sources further said that security forces backed by heavy contingents of Frontier Constabulary and Police were posted at Budh Ber and Matni including other areas of the suburbs of Peshawar.

Security forces launched a search operation at Bilal Mohajir Camp, but no arrest could be made thus far. Security forces also fired several rockets at the extremists’ hideouts in Pashin Garh area. Curfew remained clamped at Budh Ber, Matni and other areas, while Indus Highway has been closed for traffic for security reasons, said the sources.
