Young Pakistan Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar was on a three day visit to India recently. Ms Khar met the Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh during her visit.

Ms Khar has assured of friendly, co-operative and good relations between India and Pakistan.  See photo gallery.

Hina Rabbani Khar  has created history in Pakistan by becoming the youngest and the first female Minister of Foreign Affairs. Khar has held her post since July 20, 2011, when she was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In a statement, Dr Singh had said that he had welcomed the progress that has been made in the talks and had also termed it as ‘Heralding of a new spring’ between the two countries. Singh had even added that he expects friendliest relations and resolution of all the issues with Pakistan.

But since her appointment, questions have been constantly raised about the appointment of the 34 year-old Khar, who is a business woman by profession. Pakistani politicians have raised questions about her appointment due to her age and her lack of experience
