Following in the footsteps of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf who had reserved 33 per cent seats for women in the local governments under the devolution of power plan introduced in 2002, the elected Pakistan government is considering to also enhance quota of women in the Parliament from 18 to 33 per cent.
